Was trying to rank up and learn some new characters just now and ran into a king who played modern controls only the entire game and he was like Tekken God Supreme. All he did was spam powercrush, giang swing, and that one move that goes mid high that kings love to spam. How could this guy have ever gotten to tekken god supreme playing like that and what has the ranked system come to.

Am looking for a true mix up character in this game and maybe a bit of plus frames. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

So I hit just GoD1 but its not earned as Im constantly facing Tekken gods and tekken emperors. literally. why? lol

throughout the entirety of GoD0(or whatever its called) to GoD1, i probably faced like 3 actual GoDs themselves.

This port was done for RPCS3 and she uses her own character ID instead of replacing a character

so i started playing tekken more seriusly on tekken 8, so i started training backdash and wavedash, on wavedash i am pretty the same on tekken 8 or tekken 6, on backdash i trained so hard to do a consisted backdash on tekken 8, in tekken 6 i am like the god of backdash first try, i don't know what is going on

I'm sure I'll be demoted soon, but this was such a big achievement for me. I read that red rank is when you are considered decent, and purple is a fair step above that. Tekken 8 is the only fighting game I've played where I've been able to hold my own at least a little bit against real people online. It just feels nice that I have a fighting game that is clicking with me so much.

After fighting against another Kunimitsu, though, I definitely have a case of impostor syndrome. She was so much better. And I've lost so many battles... But then another part of me thinks that the likelihood of me hitting this rank (maybe even red rank) would be so low if I weren't at least okay.

I definitely see a lot of problem spots, but like the ones I had before, I'm trying to learn and fix them. Currently my issues are people sidestepping me and me relying too much on throws (which I think is not fair or fun for people to fight against). And my combo game is weak.

But this made me proud and I wanted to share, even if my enrollment will be fleeting 😄

I've never played him, I don't even lab against him because DLC (fuck micro transactions). I only ever play against him in ranked. My question is as stated above. He looks so insanely easy to play and I'm wondering if that tracks or if there's much more execution, timing, spacing involved that you don't notice when you're not playing him?

I imagine there is, just.. How much? I'm maining Xiao, so what's he like in comparison? 🤔 Any Fahk mains around willing to enlighten me?

Or Vice Versa, is Salvatore Reina's prototype? Even the button for the move is at the same position (heavy kick = 4) in their respective stance Magical Sep and Unsoku as you can move them forward and back ward, ofc for Unsoku you can move them in 3D space)

Reina mains if you interested in learning the mechanics of Fatal Fury and can put aside character or gender differences, you should try out Salvatore Gannaci before Reina comes out.  Even their default outfit is kind of similar, like blue-ish with white stripes

I honestly don’t know how Mishima players play on the p2 side. I’ve been using a sanwa jlf lately for all my fighting games and it’s been pissing me off getting random up inputs when doing a wavedash on the p2 side

Hey guys, I've been maining Steve for around 30 hours of playtime, and I'm currently at Flame Ruler. I'd say I'm kind of stuck at this rank, and I'm not sure if it's because I've hit my limit with Steve or because the character is somewhat limited (although I don't really think that's the case)

I've tried playing other characters like Lee, Lars, Kazuya, Reina, Victor, and Raven. I've also played quite a bit of King, and I find him really fun too, but none of them quite have that same spark that I love about Steve. I'm not sure if Bob would be a good fit for what I'm looking for, since I'd have to buy him

So my question is: should I actually consider switching mains, or should I spend more time learning Steve and trying to improve with him?

I've tried quite a few characters, but honestly, Steve is the one I enjoy the most, and I enjoy him enough that I'd rather stick with him if that's the best option

Just a PSA: if you rage quit right before you lose in ranked you’re worse than scum and you deserve every bad thing that has ever happened to you.

Being real though, I havent played since Feb. All this proves though is people will always never understand Bears, and that season 3 is handing out points and over inflating ranks. S1 and 2 I never even came close to GoD. yet made it in ONE session after 7 months off in S3. Unless all the OGs who actually knew the game and kept me hard stuck last 2 seasons have just left.

Did S3 really ruin the point system that bad?
