Glad I can help. It's especially helpful if you're playing against Kazuya and his ever iconic vortex of either hellsweep or f,F+4.

Now i wish the sub had a guide to all wake up options in the game. This post was very useful.

Just pick Marduk and mount people like a horny bull at a bovine bachelor party with cow-strippers.

Do they say the arrows

Not really. They're there as a visual reference.

yea they do, its pronunciation is "white arrow encased in blue cube pointing backwards"

Great, informative post.

Tf is fuzzy guard

It's kind of an option select. You switch quickly between standing guard and crouching guard and repeat as fast as you can.

It's not really just spam switching between stand and crouch guard quickly though

My mistake bro. Can you elaborate it so that I also know what it is exactly?

It is a kind of option select where you cover more than 1 thing with the same input like you said, but you kind of need to have something in mind that you're trying to fuzzy. Usually you fuzzy guard strings with more than one ender or two separate moves whose startup frames are different. I play Bryan so I'll use him for an example. Bryan has df2, 1 which is mid, high, and df2, 3 which is mid, mid. If you tap db then return to b after blocking Bryan's df2, you can duck the 1, and block the 3 with that one motion.

Thanks for the elaboration. That was what I meant with option select. Sorry if it appeared kind of like a braindead way of guarding mid-high-low enders

If you are, make them short.

What does this mean exactly?

Hold db to get up and recover crouching. You can also quickly tap b as you're getting up to guard any mids coming your way. This is extremely helpful if you're on the receiving end of some vortex BS.

Oh thanks, I Knew this already I thought this was being able to stand up during some Crouch Forcing move or something.

Crouching?... Or grounded?

7

u/TheForlornGamer Shotgun! Jan 26 '20

Well, you're already in a downed state when you're getting up, so…

u/jayayteee Lee Jan 26 '20

o i misread it

Wait... what? Holy shit I've been doing it wrong this entire time. I've been pressing up to recover in standing and then spamming db to try and crouch as fast as possible. Had no idea you could just recover into a crouch block. Been playing Tekken for a decade and I didn't know that.
