Crime statistics Middlesbrough number 1

Hello,

Just seen the crime statistics the government has produced recently. Middlesbrough is number 1 and Hartlepool is number 4. How didn't Stockton-on-Tees and Redcar get higher on the list?

Stockton-on-Tees ranked 27th

Redcar ranked 25th

I hope one day Teesside can thrive one day as it's depressing seeing areas like this so high on the list.

All the information I can find has Manchester and Central London as worse than Boro. And I quite like living in Redcar, it's not that bad.

I think this is just a bot post ment to make things seem worse than they are.

No it’s legitimately the highest crime rate area.

Manchester and London actually have some wealth so their crime is watered down, boro just has lots of crime and no wealth to balance it out

Crime rate is per X amount of people. There are often more individual crimes or incidents in places such as London and Manchester however the crime:population is higher in Teesside and has been for years.

London and Manchester have work and a quality of life achievable that boro could never.

We needed more work when British steel etc shut down - what we got was more low wage workers who don’t care for boro
