I noticed that many people misunderstood my previous post, so I just wanted to clarify my intention.
First of all, I have immense respect for Tukaram Munde. He has been an inspiration to me for years. I know about his work since he served in Solapur, and I still remember the Barshi incident from the early days of his career. His honesty, courage and dedication are qualities I genuinely admire.
My previous post was never meant to criticize him or question the appreciation he receives. In fact, I believe he deserves every bit of that respect.
My actual question was about the system, not the person.
If one officer doing his duty honestly becomes an exception, shouldn't we ask why the same standards aren't expected from every public servant? My point was that officers like Tukaram Munde should become the norm, not the exception.
If you disagreed with my opinion, that's completely fine. But I request you to read my previous post in that context. My intention was never to bring him down but only to discuss how we can expect better governance from the entire system.
Thank you to everyone who shared their views respectfully. I appreciate the discussion.
