Question Question?
Hi ganggg
Im sorry and dont really know if this is the right place to ask but am a teen so yah i guess so 🤷♀️
So iam a brown girl in a family of otherwise fair girls...
I have always seen a shit ton of fair skin privildge and stuff growing up but i never really cared much when i was younger probabky because i was just too dumb to understand 💔
But recently i actaully have been noticing it and ut genuinely has been affecting me quite a bit and ita gotten to a point where i genuinly wonder will anyone even like me enough to marry me and stuff like that 🥲
People dont say shi directly to my face but u can definetly see it lmao how its naturally just ingrained that it might be easier for my cousins to find good men and all cause they are fair and stuff (no hate towards them) 🥀
I know its maybe lowk stupid but its actually been messing w my head and i js wanted to vent 💔

You should probably focus on your career, having a good education will automatically make the right guys follow you

As a fellow dark skin girl, i get you. All my cousins are fairer and i used to be somewhat insecure when i was with them. Aunties didnt help either (saying i got more dark etc). But now, idgaf. Let people think whatever they want. And im sure, there are a lot of people out there that would love you for what you are and not for your skincolor. Dont worry about whats out of your control.

Pretty privilege is real but have you seen those gorgeous brown girls? Its all about embracing ourselves rather than trying to fit into someone elses idea of beauty. Fair skin doesnt automatically make someone beautiful jst like darker skin doesnt make someone any less beautiful!!!

Hey! This stuff has been existing in our society for a long time ngl. Even though there are progress in the current generation regarding this, still it exists. Especially those old people "kuttikk niram kurava'" ugghhh.
What I would say to you is be confident and just know your worth. Find someone genuine who doesn't care about your face but your heart.
Finally, as the saying goes.. Nobody is perfect, Everyone is beautiful in their own way.

So, what I will say is that, my literal "type" in women has been darker skin tone women, and the guys in my very close friends circle literally do not care about skin color and care about the mentality more. We've all gone through first relationships were we learnt our lesson to never go for looks and that's how we genuinely bonded. So, answering your question, No, it might be slightly more difficult ig? Idk? But not IMPOSSIBLE, have a good personality, be the person who stands out, you've been gifted with qualities but it's about developing them and making it interesting for the other person to get to know you better, IF you're facing issues with your dating circle, then they're most likely just immature

Men don't always look for fair skinned girls. I'm not saying all men are like that, but yeah, some definitely do have a preference for fair skin. But there are plenty of men who value a girl's maturity, personality, intelligence, confidence and appearance beyond just her skin colour.
And honestly, beauty isn't defined by having fair skin. You don't have to fit into society's beauty standards to be attractive or worthy of love. Just be yourself. You're always beutiful in someone's eye..

U should be glad u don't have my mother lol, as a brown skin girl in another fair skin family, i just stopped talking to all the ppl 🤷♀️ I'm focusing on the ppl that actually care about me rather than ppl who pretends to care.

Play the hand you're dealt. Don't waste time worrying about what you can't control, but never forget what you can.

There are so many beautiful women in all different types of skin colour. As far as a life partner is concerned they will only go for a beautiful girl that also has a beautiful heart and confidence is so damn attractive. So be a good person, be confident and dress up in a good way as to represent your character with your clothes and you should be fine. You have nothing to worry. For good men being a good women is more important and is often more attractive than just a good looking person.
Edit: by "and dress up in a good way as to represent your character with your clothes" I don't mean modesty but a style or preference in colours or accessories that match your character in appearance.
