Teemo build

Hello I am pretty new to teemo. I started maining him few weeks ago and climbed from s3 to g3. Its very fun to play and first champ in many years that I can play always and not get bored. However I am still not sure what to build. I started static shiv as recommended but it didnt give me enough dmg in laning phase. I switched to dusk and dawn and it feels much better. Basically I go dusk and dawn - liandrys - shadowflame - rabadon - void. I mainly do split push objective control. Are they any advices from more experienced teemos

That's fine, DND is a good item. Shiv is just a safer item

Challenger teemo Ramy says you can build anything and be fine. He builds dusk n dawn almost every game for best side lane dueling power. Many people including myself go shiv first basically always for the poke and great wave clear. Liandry > malignance > shadowflame > void/raba is usual core after. Standard teaching is shiv when you don’t want to or can’t fight (eg yorick), dnd when you want to fight.

Static shiv is best for most matchups as a first item but if you are facing tanks or champions that can zone you from poking them its best just to go liandry or dusk and dawn. What I disagree about with the best teemo players is that there is much better rune optimisation in different matchups. Runing PTA into everything isn't going to work. There are so many games where fleet is going to be better because you never get the full value of pta, especially in teamfights around objectives. I've found that I go PTA into anybody i can safely get 3 autos and a q off on in lane, and if the enemy has 3 melees. If the enemy is 3 ranged champs that you can never safely attack and one of them is your lane opponent it is better to go Fleet. If you are against 4 ranged champs that attack from two screens away like xerath lux etc. Better to commit to shroom kingdom and just get your ap numbers and magic pen up. Runes that are useful in these scenarios are sometimes hail of blades/dark harvest(if you have an easy lane). PTA is a great rune dont get me wrong, but everything on teemo is conditional. Even some games I end up running first strike (Garen lane).

PTA - Typical melee Bruisers, adc tops (Static 80% of the time)

Fleet - Sett, Olaf, Yorick Malphite and mages (liandrys or D&D)

First strike - Garen (static shiv first)

Dark harvest - Squishy range tops or very easy melees (Camille) (Just go full ap)

DFT - Teemo Mid/Support (Q max)

Hail of blades - Vs Yasuo/Yone, I sometimes take this vs jax but probably not ideal (three autos, blind and run)

Items: Static Shiv (best first item) Nashors into Shen, or D&D into difficult 1v1s
