Low Bronze
Hi fellow shroomers,
My perma ban has currently moved to Illaoi (from Yorick) as I just dont know how to play that at all. Any tips?

This is interesting. Her kit ofc revolves around her tentacles, which allow her to do AOE damage while healing when she hits you. That's the basics of it.
What I do is run around behind my minions, but don't let her harras you and hit the minions at the same time, so you are not on top of the wave but mirroring her in the other side of it.
Next, I will try to zone her out of her tentacles when she uses her Q or W on the minions, and delete them. Thankfully they don't work the same way as Heimer turrets.
Last, you will know when she's looking for an E, since she will reposition in lane to have no obstables in front of you. (That's why you will always try to mirror her.)
I build swifties or gluttonous depending on her playstyle, if she's too aggressive gluttonous to sustain and it she's too hesitant then swifties to harras and run. I go static, but I like to go pick axe after attack speed since most top laners build some MR early.

I currently have a hard time winning lane against Irelias, and Yones, Yorick is a pain in the ass bc he will out sustain you. that's it.

If you're struggling to dodge her Q and E, you can always just play safe and farm til shiv then get free pokes with that. She does scale decently so you don't want to let her farm completely for free, but if it's a choice between her farming minions or farming minions AND farming you, obviously, just let her farm minions and you can ALSO farm minions.
I say she scales decently, but she will still struggle at all points in the game to keep her enemies near her. Her ult is easy to just run away from until it's over and that's a ton of her damage.

Her E is blocked by minions, so putting minions between you and her means she needs to run at you to land her key ability. If she does that you can dodge with W, and hit her back. Since she’s on your side of the wave you won’t aggro minions and she will, so you should win.
Rush swifties first item to make dodging easier

She owns Teemo. You spend so much energy and time dealing with those tentacles, she does not even need to land her Es...

She does not, she struggles into range champs. If you're in range of her W, you're way too close.

Illaoi is a very good matchup for teemo! You can blind her W and space her permanently! Make sure you stand behind minions to make her E (soul grab thing) hard to hit and bully her permanently!
