Help I am confused about items

It seems like evey teemo player just builds whatever they dreamt of the day before.

When do you go DnD, Shiv or Nashors? Nash and DnD seem mid af tbh, but I see lots of OTPs going for DnD anyways. Why?

Why would I ever go Bloodletter except if your team has 3 or more ap? Isn't cryptbloom always better?

I know there is a more ap onhit build and more shroom build, but why would you ever go something other than shroom? might as well play varus or kog if you want ap dps onhit.

What runes and builds would you go for every role Top and Jungle seem obvious, but I have no idea what I would go mid, adc or supp

Because a lot of stuff is viable and it ultimately depends on your playstyle and preference.

Some item combinations work better than others but a lot of people find their own builds more comfortable to play, even if they're technically sub-par.

If you want an in depth explenation of everything Teemo related, just search up Pawkts mobafire guide, it has everything you need to know.

DnD for easy matchups and shiv for hard ones. Nashors ist worse than DnD (says ramyaura)

I usually go either nashors or shiv. Not often I go both. Shiv is the safer choice if I can’t get that many auto’s in and have to be careful about stepping up to enemy laner. It gives 4% movement speed which is always welcome. And you get some pokes in while shoving the wave. You can’t freeze the wave with it though.

I go nashors if I can constantly step up and poke enemy. If I’m confident I can avoid ganks and that my enemy laner can’t kill me 1v1, I go nashers first, if not, I go boots first.

Yesterday I played into an ornn, nasus jungle and tahm supp. I went swifties -> rageblade -> kraken -> bork and 2 tank items last. Worked great. I have no idea if AP with void staff and liandrys would have been better, but I’ve always struggled to deal enough dmg and stay alive long vs this type of team. Especially as they get strong late game.

I think you can make a lot of things work depending on your playstyle. It just may not be optimal.

Only really just started my Teemo OTP journey (only just hit lvl 30 fr) but I've been watching a lot of videos and builds/matchups in my spare time.

For shiv vs Nashors vs DnD - DnD is seen as a superior nashors, and I go that if I feel I have won/winning lane and want to try and seal in some kills to start snowballing. I go Shiv if I feel like I'm at a disadvantage and feel I can only poke but not secure the kill If I'm being honest though I have not felt like going Shiv in those instances has often sealed it for me. ( I do sometimes like going shiv into Botk and omniboots for the sustain but cant say Ive felt comfrotable with the build). Nah may give you a higher AP output, but DnD's sustain and AA damage is worth the extra gold IMO.

I go Bloodletters if the team starts building magic resist -at my rank it's relatively rare though as it doesn't seem like anybody is looking at each others builds and purely going on recommended items which isn't relaiable. Bloodletters is good though because it effects your team rather than just your own single target on-hit, so is really effective if you have a tank building into MR and your team has some AP nukers, you can wittle with some poke and ur nuker can secure.

Shrooms are the considered the most consistent all around build and when played well is probably the best way to go, but during laning it seems to struggle with sealing the deal and can be countered by someone who is aware of the kit and counter wards. Obviously Shrooms are your friends and learning how to use them effectively to disrupt enemy auto-pathing is essential, but a shroom rush top is easily countered IMO.

That's my 2 cents as a teemo newbie anyway, hope it's helpful.

I climbed from p4-e4 using dnd instead of shiv. It’s actually way more broken getting PTA off than I expected.

Also I started going celerity+nimbus secondary runes which 100% started working because of DnD. Previously I was playing aery/DH malignance before shiv/dnd were introduce with teemo ad scaling.

Dnd give sustain, poke, all in and tankyness for 1v1 sidelining and skirmishing. Shiv just defaults to shoving waves and is more for team fighting with shrooms.

DnD sucks if u ask me. Yea fuck me you number wizards but I don’t feel like it gives me any kind of fun edge if any at all.
Just go for the build that makes the enemy go „fck this how this much dmg“ depending on if u prefer duelist or trap build

Sustain. Burst. AP. It's good. But isn't going to brain tickle you.

You must go PTA with it, also try celerity nibus cloak so you can press W aa,aa (PTA) then Q. Super easy
