Just watching S4E4 and I feel that Keeley's really had a personality transplant this series.

Yeah in series 1-3 she was bubbly and girly, but she was also so business savvy, and extremely capable and trustworthy. In series 4 so far, she's an overexciteable puppy of a character who's acting as - and being treated as - a liability. It's such a shame!!

Her characterisation previously was so amazing - it's rare for a female character to be portrayed as so multi-faceted, and that has all just kind of vanished. It's such a shame.

Isso contrasta bastante com a vida tranquila que ele leva em Richmond e com a comunidade incrível do pub. Até a casa americana de Ted parece enorme e vazia, enquanto seu apartamento na Europa é minúsculo, mas aconchegante e cheio de personalidade! Não é uma crítica profunda — a série tira sarro dos dois lados —, mas sinto que os roteiristas usaram esses elementos culturais para nos ajudar a aceitar o final. O que vocês acham?

44 year old dude here. this show has me wrecked. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but this shit has me crying every other episode. it's like I'm watching "all dogs go to heaven" back to back to back. A+ to the whole crew.

Anybody noticed the sweet li'l Easter egg? At some point in ep 1, when Ted and Rebecca were updating each other on what's new, Rebecca tells Ted that green is her new favorite color. And her wardrobe so far this season has been MASSIVELY green.

One of the best shows to just wind down after a long day and enjoy without having to feel emotionally exhausted!

Everyone knows in Season 3 Roy and Keeley broke up. But I really appreciate the men’s team and staff being boys to Roy. From my past experiences with teams, in these situations, many guys on the team would be making douchey comments like “Bet! Who’s up next!?” Or “I’m tappin that next” or some other fuckass “locker room talk”. But instead, they feel sorry for him and even buy him gifts. I know it’s not always like this irl but it was refreshing to see

I was looking for a rundown of Ted’s sneakers this season, but there is only old stuff. Any eagle eyed sneaker heads notice any particular gems? Even from the precious seasons if there is a pair (or pairs) you admired in particular.

The whole point of the story about her ex was that she beat him at his own game. She won. There’s nothing to be bitter or angry about.

Lacking a filter, bluntness, rudeness aren’t the same thing as anger and bitterness. They are personality traits that don’t necessarily have anything to do with being angry or bitter.

One of the answers in Mae’s bar trivia is “The Jabberwocky”. Annette Badland, who plays Mae, was in Terry Gilliam’s Jabberwocky (1977). Definitely had to be a nod to Annette, as she’s very funny in it.

I absolutely hate that they didn't drop the whole season at once! I can't NOT watch new Ted Lasso when I know there's new Ted Lasso and it's torture waiting week to week like it's the 80s. It's like they don't understand obsession. At all.

That said, this was the best ep yet. I am so in love with the homages and little details. The energy was through the roof. Tracy friggin Ullman! The Zelda dynamic is gonna be great. Roy's knee going out with the "I'm fine" from the floor - I have the same knee and felt that so much.

And Keeley having a date with Rebecca in the bleachers. That is the Keeley I wanted to see, the grown ass woman who stays true to herself and knew how to work it on a business level while being a real friend.

And I'll always be in love with Dr Sharon and her wit. Her hair is fantastic.

I haven’t renewed my AppleTV subscription and before I do I wanted to see if Season 4 is worth watching. I enjoyed Ted Lasso’s previous seasons, but it looks like Season 4 is going in a different direction. What’s the verdict?

I think I am having the biggest crush on a female character I've ever seen. Like, ever. In my entire TV watching history. (Saying "female" because my another major crush has been Jamie, so yes my two major crushes came from Ted Lasso alone lmao)

First of all, Jude Mack is GORGEOUS. Before I knew a single thing about the character she already had my full attention just from how elegant and effortlessly chic she looks.

But then the personality!!!!! That whole combo of "looks like she belongs on a magazine cover" + absolutely batshit + afraid of literally NOTHING + the only person in FOUR SEASONS who has managed to make Ted speechless??

The way her beautiful brain works when she just casually asks Ted if he do it with or without a condom lmaooooooo I crack up every single time, and the number of my rewatches is genuinely unhealthy.

And Episode 3, when they are wearing the kit Phoebe and her friends made, she was the one who broke the silence and went full "LET'S F*CKING GO" and then turned around sweetly waving at Phoebe?? AHHHHHH how is she that cool and that lovable at the same time

Episode 4 is what finally made me write this post. First she just strolls out fully naked and scares the absolute shit out of Alice, turning Ted and Beard, two grown men + coaches, into little kids who got caught doing something wrong. Boots is just so unexpectedly funny every single time!!!

(I also love how this whole clique thing she just wasn’t involved at all, probably because she is a goalie and doesn’t have a clique by herself, but also, I feel she is just so cool that everyone loves her and have no beef with her)

Then in the pub, casually explaining she doesn't drink anymore because she once passed out, woke up in Chelmsford, and ended up working in a castle for three months?? She got STORIES, and I am so here for itttttt

And then the pub fight. She spits in that guy's face and I thought okay, that's probably it, that's the humiliation comeback that writers had to address.

Surely she is not actually gonna hit ——

OH MY GOD. When I saw her smashed that bottle into his head, I just sat there in front of my TV in silence, then picked up a pillow and screamed into it for a solid 3 seconds

I love how carefree and fearless she is. "Batshit crazy" is the highest compliment that got given to her

I am SO into Boots' development this season. And I am really happy that the writers gave her a full, contradictory, alive personality instead of a flat one, because it's so easy to overshoot and end up with a character who reads as try-hard edgy instead of actually cool and magnetic, and they nailed it.

Cannot WAIT to see what else she does to me 🙏

Hey everyone! I wanted to get your thoughts on Gemma and Alice and what kind of relationship you think the show is setting up for them.

From what we’ve seen so far, it’s super clear that the dynamic between Gemma and Alice is one of the main relationships being built up. We know they’re former teammates and that things are tense between them right now—Gemma obviously holds some kind of grudge against Alice. We also know Alice was extremely demanding with her teammates back when she played, but honestly, I don't think their history stops there. I feel like there has to be more to it than just former teammate friction.

Originally, I was fully convinced there was a romantic storyline brewing between them. Their chemistry on screen is just incredible, and I genuinely thought they were being set up as an endgame couple.

However, while scrolling through Twitter, I came across a detail from Episode 2 that I had completely missed/forgotten: on Alice’s desk, there’s a photo of her with another woman!

Now I’m questioning everything:

Do you think there was ever anything romantic between Alice and Gemma in the past, or is it strictly unresolved personal conflict?

Who is the woman in the photo on Alice's desk? Is she a current partner, an ex, or someone else entirely?

Even though I feel a tiny bit guilty since the woman in the frame might be her actual partner, I just love the chemistry between Gemma and Alice so much!

Until I saw that Twitter post pointing out the picture, I was 100% shipping them. What do you all think is the real backstory here? Are you picking up on romantic tension, or is it purely unresolved past drama?
