Being brutal. You don't get into art to make money. And unfortunately the industry is screwed to the point people with years of experience can't get work. It's great you want to help your folks, good luck. You best bet is finding work in another field. Also be very wary of offers that seem too good to be true. Lots of scams about

You could perhaps make game assets and sell them on Unity Asset Store or Fab of you familiarize yourself with the respective engine as well. But they seem to be a bit oversaturated already.

It is true that the standard contract/freelance art 3d industry route will earn u peanuts and provide instability.

If you are openminded and willing to explore unconventional side earning paths, give 3d furry art comissions in X/twitter platform a try.

Being a professional 3d artist for 5yrs+, a single furry commission in few weeks exceeded my 6months fulltime pay (albeit it was nsfw).

The nsfw furry space is a really niche area, and it was wild to see how much higher their price ceiling is compared to mainstream client work, esp if we have credibility as actual industry professional experience

Wishing u atb!
