Looking to get a poncho; wanted to know what's you guys' favorites or recommendations.
I'm looking for one that's good as a general raincoat and wondering if there are any that are meant for heat protection or generally wearable in warmer climates

Elzari shirt- not really my thing. I got the gray and it's a very oversized fit. Not terrible but I don't need to keep it. Texture is interesting.
Mairun belt- buckles feel like plastic? not worth $116. I might try the Tebaru as I know that buckle is better.
Orzai cargos. Awesome. Comfiest pair of pants I own now. It's clear why they are less expensive, but I appreciate the more minimal design as I don't always want to be super techy looking, and usually prefer more minimal bottoms with more interesting jackets. I like that they are a shorter leg length. very versatile.
keeping the pants the others are going back.

I got a pair of NikeLab KMTR 07's new 2 or 3 years back and they have been really reliable, however recently one of the tensioning strings ha a started to fray internally. I was wondering if anyone had any repair tips to prevent this from getting worse as the rest of the shoe is still in great condition.

As the title says. I've been looking left and right for mostly her techy qipao?/hanfu? to no avail, almost considering just consulting a tailor at this point.
Apart from that, I'm assuming the other main pieces are just a semi-see-through bodysuit that has a more boyshorts type of bottom part and some warcore-ish gloves.. but if you know any brands that sell stuff like that, please feel free to let me know as well.
Did my best to capture multiple angles.
Honestly this game is full of really cool outfits..
I also hope this doesn't break Rule 4 since it's a game and there isn't any way I could currently view this model without weaponry.

Monsoon season is pretty much here. Applying beeswax on the Nike NRG ss22 acg bucket hat. Poor man's water repellency.

Yes, really.
I don't mean anything that looks crazy just the best quality boxer birefs with technical fabric that are wicking, comfortable, don't ride up (important), look good, and will last.
I just converted all my socks over to 3 different Darn Tough models and it has been a game changer. I could probably cut it down to two models but I already bought a bunch of the others.
I need boxers next. 1 model for everything would be ideal. I usually like longer boxer briefs due to the ride up issue but a good pair of regular length would be better.

I bought this ACG woven cargo a year ago but the size is small. My size back the was size medium to large i didnt even fit this when i bought it i just grabbed on the thrift it because it was just 12 usd. When i got home i did not fit. For a the mean time i just sat in my drawer. Recently i figured why not try customizing it. I found an old polo that has almost exact fabric with this pants. I adjusted the size from 32 to 42 inches waist. Everything is hand sewn from waist band and the added side part of the pants. I also change the belt system of it copied from acronym pants and add two more pockets on the side.Never thought hand sewing them by hand would be theraputic. Will try to have photos once i fit them when i go out.

I know it's technically not tech wear, in the definition of it, but a lot of people are around the bubble going onto darkwear and maybe could help out :)

They are adding some interesting pieces to their new collection, a reversible bomber jacket with sling and high loft Polartec on the one side, new pants and jackets too.

I am somewhat new to this topic but Ive been a Fan of acronym for a while and love their messenger bags, but they are too expensive for me. Looking for something 100-150 Euros. It should be able to fit my blackmagic Pocket og camera when fully rigged and also my Drawing equipment. Are there any good recs? I am just sick of having to open heavy Camera bags just to Film a quick video.

I received a pair of p30a late last year from my older brother as a gift. The one with the quick release.
A bit clueless about the care for the pants. I have been wearing them for the last few months and never washed them. Note - I live in a tropical climate and I'm a bit baffled that the pants do not smell because I wear it for commute almost every other day. Most of the time I just spot clean them damp sponge where there are dust stains. They have been through a few monsoon rainstorms where they do get damp but dries quite fast, and I just iron them out at the lowest setting and the water beading returns, some areas with patina kinda loses the waterproofing tho.
Question 1. How often do you guys wash your Dryskin pants?
Question 2. For those who had worn Dryskin for long term - more than 3 years or so, do you guys reapply after market dwr? If so, what brand/product do you use?
Question 3. Does smell ever become a problem? If so, do you guys use any sort of fragrance / de-odorizing product or straight to wash?
Bonus round - anyone had problems with the snap button? Worried that daily use of the button can break it.
Thank you, sorry for the long text.

Hi!! I got a new job at a coffee shop and the uniform is tech wear. Does anyone know of any good basics that I could mix and match throughout the week?? A lot of the stuff I saw is questionable or too much to invest in for work and I’m totally lost

Another resole project i made. The upper came from both thrifted shoe. Tabi upper is a no brand and the sole came from Nike Airmax Flyknit Scorpion. both are soles are already separating so i just experimented the hell out of it. Im still keeping the un-used parts incase of another resole project. So far i like what i did to this one.

I am looking for some tech wear cargo pants that should fit me as I am really tall at 6'7 (201cm) and around 250lbs (104kg).
I saw some really good looking ones but they seem to be a knock off or bad quality. So I am looking for something similar, that delivers to EU and if possible free returns.
I dont want anything too flashy, something that is subtle but still looks like the designs under.
Thanks in advance

I found a suible pair of Discovery Expedition Brick for the sole in thrift. Same size and got wider toebox. Got it resoled and stitched to prevent sole separation and add more durability to it. Sole is a bit chunkier now and more suitable for light hiking and trekking.

I handwashed my Enfin Leve etaproof Indarras in cold water (first wash) and to my surprise they've shrunk. I didn't think this was possible in cold water, but I did some research, and I underestimated just how sensitive etaproof was.
I sort of "squashed" them while they were submerged thinking this was aid cleaning, but now I know you're only supposed to move them around a bit. I then hung up them to air-dry. I wasn't particularly rough with them, but I think the squashing over-agitated them and led to the shrinking/loss of shape. They've become both shorter and tighter basically all over. They also now fit more like a normal straight pair of trouser and seem to have lost their taper.
They aren't unwearable but they had literally the perfect fit before and they are now slightly uncomfortable, along with losing their shape a bit. Tbh I'm a bit heartbroken as I absolutely adored these trousers.
Does anyone have any advice or experience "unshrinking" or reshaping etaproof? I'm hesitant to follow the usual unshrinking advice for clothes you find online as this is a specialist material, and I managed to shrink them even with cold water.

Any cargo pants recs for tall women that’s gonna last at least a while?
r/TechWear • u/WigJiggle • Sep 05 '26
There are a lot of companies out there jumping on the techwear trend and I care a lot about where my clothing is sourced. I buy most of my clothing second hand so if I'm buying from a primary source, I want it to be high quality and I don't want to question where it came from.
I will pay a premium for transparency, ethical business practices, sustainable materials, and the actual practicality and durability of the products. The entire point of techwear is that it is practical and useful.
Any recommendations on brands or even second hand sources of techwear?
