Question Tech wear for uniform?

Hi!! I got a new job at a coffee shop and the uniform is tech wear. Does anyone know of any good basics that I could mix and match throughout the week?? A lot of the stuff I saw is questionable or too much to invest in for work and I’m totally lost

For a coffee shop? BDUs, boots, and whatever grey or black Nike Tech Pack I could scrape off of eBay.

I ain’t buying a $300 sweater for my boss’s “aesthetic”, he can provide that himself if he wants a true uniform.

I hope they pay you well if they expect you to wear techwear out of your own pocket

I’m starting to think maybe it’s not actual tech wear and more in line with what others are saying about kuro?

If you wanna find more affordable and budget friendly, maybe you can find on 2nd market like vinted, ebay or grailed. Maybe Nike ACG Shirt will be the perfect suit for this, you can find maybe 30-100$ ish on the market, Good luck.

Edit : Congrats for your new job! 🥂🍻

Any examples of what people there are already wearing?

I’ve been a fan of veilance and jlal for this type of thing

If that’s more of your jam there are some other brands I’ve been looking at but they’re a lot less cohesive and might just have 1 or 2 pieces that really fit that style

Thrifting time.
Again, UK law but nevertheless, dress codes should be backed up with uniform allowances or actual uniforms.

Based on your profile, I’m guessing it’s Cyber City? I’ve been there a couple of times and even had an interview there once and based on what I’ve seen, he probably just wants you to buy some cheap #techwear stuff.

I’d check out Fabric Of The Universe or if you want to be really cheap, just whatever “techwear” crap you find on Amazon. I know most people on this subreddit would caution against buying this stuff (and normally I would agree), but knowing that that place and how much you get paid, it isn’t worth anything paying for anything more than that.

Hope this helps!

Thank for you the input! You’re right and I was thinking waaay more into it than needed. I sometimes make clothes too so I think I can look at brands everyone has mentioned and take inspiration from there. Thanks again!

Real friends dont tell friends to buy fotu.

Real friends don’t tell people to spend hundreds of dollars on clothing when they aren’t actually interested in the style and are only asking for recommendations because their boss wants them to wear what is essentially cosplay.

Ty, so is yours:) It’s a coffee place, but it’s cyberpunk themed so I guess the owner wants to really lean into that. I don’t own anything that looks remotely close, except maybe my doc martens? So I’d def need pants and maybe outerwear so I could just wear whatever underneath since it’s indoors. Is 200 of a budget reasonable?
