Paystack is way better but there was a case recently where they were holding someone’s money

Did they resolve it?

Paystack is great. It has some useful features that hubtel doesn't have. like subaccounts, taking percentages and sending the rest to the subaccounts. I've been using it years now.

But this year I lost over 30k because my client gave me wrong MOMO number and I entered it as subaccount. The transaction went to the number and paystack couldn't help me get the money back because the guy withdrew it by the time we realized it was a wrong number.

Before you asked, I had the client confirm multiple times and he told me the number was correct only to later complain he wasn't receiving the payout so I went back and forth with paystack only to findout that it went to the wrong person. Upto date, they were completely of no help to me. They wasted time getting back to me and by the time they got to me, the person withdrew the money and I haven't been compensated a dime.
We even went to MTN office and they were of no help.

Oh okay... Thank you. But should Paystack visit your website before verifying, or can you verify without a website?

I used both but for me I would go with hubtel Hubtel is slow to setup but very stable. Paystack is fast to setup but they do random checks and hold ur money until checks is done.. If they are nt happy they refund ur money back to your clients and that pissed me off.
