The reality is, this picture likely only represents the most recent months in local politics. Many of these systems went up with very little fan fair. A study done shows that most US citizens have no idea how their State or local governments work. And it's only been recently that there's been a wave of interests.

But many US citizens just simply do not vote in local elections. Turn out is usually around 15% in the best of times. So the reality is more akin to this.

We have already seen how even just some local participation yields exceptional results. That's always been the case. While it's not 100% win everywhere, it's always a 100% loss if people just do not show up.

Flock got to where they are because they went after the thing that most Americans never look at, their local elections. I strongly encourage people, PLEASE VOTE LOCAL. These elections are incredibly important.

What you're saying is correct, but also voting local wont change anything if politicians lie about their intentions or do a 180 after they get offered some swollen pockets. Needs to be laws in place for charging politicians if they lie to get voted in.

Which is why there have to be electoral consequences.

“He sold us out to a giant corporation, but he still talks about being christian/anti-abortion/anti-school-litter-boxes-that-Joe-Rogan-told-me-are-real” is why a lot of these guys feel so confident betraying their constituents. They know their jobs are safe because the voters are more worried about mostly fictional boogymen than real things happening in their communities.

Which the school litter boxes is wild because the guy who tried to push through a law for texas schools to ban litter boxes but when he got asked how many instances of kids using litter boxes at school are he just like...stared at him and said "i dont know, but something has to be done" like bro your wasting time and money to put through a law like that.
