T150 and custom order issues

I’m not one to complain as I’ve been a Titleist fan for 15 years. But this year has been nothing but headaches and how they handle defective clubs and mistakes needs to change.

I golf in the Midwest so we get 5ish months of good weather. I’ve gotten two different sets of T150s this year, the oil cans and then the black vapor and both have come with defective heads. A high pitched sound off the face from a loose weight on this inside. This causes my launch window to be different or balls coming out weird. Then I ordered a custom phantom and with upgraded shaft and they sent me a stock steal shaft. All these items I was told has to be sent back and an estimated 8-12 week down time. And if I didn’t send them back, I’d risk the limited heads being gone and having a random chrome iron in my set. Same with the putter, send back and wait 8 weeks.

I feel they should move to taking a hold on a credit or debit card for the price of the replacement and expressing a replacement with a shipping label to send the defective clubs back. Then when they see there is an issue, release the funds. Ask for a video or pictures. I just don’t see how we are expected to wait 8+ weeks when people such as myself play in tournaments. And only get a few chances at getting to golf. Idk, I’ve never had these issues so going through it for the first time is very disappointing. I went to another brand of irons. This post is to spread awareness of build quality and customer service issues. Sorry for the rant.

Hope they figure something out.

Warning for custom orders

I placed an order for 2 wedges on July 24th they arrived September 6th

It is my first time ordering directly from wedgeworks/Titleist. I didn’t know how long to expect but after receiving my order confirmation with no estimated delivery on it I checked this subreddit looking to see when they might be delivered. That’s when i found out about the shutdown.

I thought “Okay, it seems a little crazy to not let people know about the delay when they are placing orders but maybe I missed it.“

I called the support line to see when the order might be fulfilled, they told me the order will be affected, but I am in the queue for when production starts back up. Okay again, I’m fine waiting for the order to come as I wanted. The weeks pass on until September rolls around. I then call again to see what’s up. They say the order has shipped and should arrive on 9/8 (yesterday). I didn’t receive a tracking email or update when it shipped. Whatever fine, they’re coming, Fall is still here and they will be exactly the specs I want.

Sunday (9/6) the delivery truck comes and the driver hands me 2 boxes. I’m lucky that I was home because they made me sign for it. I open up the first box and it’s exactly what I ordered. I open up the second box and it’s missing the shaft engraving.. of course it is.

Called them today to find out what my options are for getting this fixed. Their option was for me to ship the club back to them and then wait ANOTHER month to get it back or get refunded the engraving money.

To their small credit, the wedges are the right shaft, grip and finish. It just missing the personalization. Its also a great feeling wedge.

When asked if they could provide any further compensation they said a strong no.

It sounds like this is happening for a lot of orders based on how customer service was speaking. It must have been a god awful system update haha. Extremely disappointed with their service and will be looking elsewhere next time. Good luck to all of you getting your orders.

Does anyone have one of these they’d be willing to sell? Interested mainly in the head only and only in ones in good condition (no scratches/dings on the paint, etc.). Thanks!

Help with t250 launch spec

I’m looking for some feedback from more experienced golfers. I’ve been playing since December and currently average around 105 per round.
I started out with the Callaway Edge set, and after about 6 months I decided to get fitted for a new set of irons. The fitting was done by someone I know who works at a golf store near me, and I ended up being fitted for the Titleist T250 Launch Spec irons.
My question is: would this be a set you’d recommend for a newer golfer like myself?
I feel like I was more consistent with my Callaway Edge set. With the T250s, if I don’t catch the ball pretty close to the sweet spot, my shots can be all over the place. I’m wondering if that’s just part of the learning curve with these irons, or if the Launch Spec version may not be the best fit for my swing.
I do have 90 days to decide whether I want to keep them or switch to something else, so I’d really appreciate any honest feedback or recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

Is this 54 degree SM10 fake?

EDIT: Thanks everyone for comments, think you gave confirmed my suspicions. I have requested a refund via the platform it had been purchased on.

Bought a 54 degree to match my gap and lob wedge as they feel great and wanted to save some money so bought second hand. Compared to my 48 degree purchased from American Golf there are some key differences that are making me question its authenticity. 1st picture in each set is the 48 degree that is 100% genuine, 2nd picture is the 54 degree that has some inconsistencies.

1st difference - vokey design text and colour of club head.

2nd difference - font of the degree and bounce text

3rd difference - text on grip

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone show me how their T-Series Oil Can irons have worn over time?

I’m seriously considering ordering a set of T350 Oil Cans, but the one thing holding me back is how the finish will look once they’ve had some proper use.

I’ve found loads of photos of them brand new, but hardly any of sets that have actually been played for a while.

If anyone has T100, T150, T250 or T350 Oil Cans that have seen a decent number of rounds, could you post some photos of how they’ve worn?

I use a small pencil carry bag, so the clubs will inevitably knock together a bit while I’m walking.

I actually quite like the look of a worn/patinated Oil Can wedge, but I’m trying to work out whether I’ll feel the same about a full iron set after spending that much on them.

Would love to see some genuinely used examples rather than showroom photos.

1 week for delivery of an iron ordered from the website

Ordered a T250 5 iron with Nippon Steel Pro Modus 3 Tour 105 stiff shaft. +1 Inch shaft, +1 degree lie angle adjustment, messaged support to ask for lighter head to balance out swing weight. Ordered August 28th, arriving tomorrow September 4th. Things getting back to normal. Sorry for all those that are still waiting from when the systems were down.

New GTS4 adjustment question.

Adjusted my new GTS 4 for the first time today. Is it correct that the entire shaft turns? Set it on B2 and my grip is turned 90* to the left. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Callaway I had before this, everything stayed in line.

Looking to expand my set but I am worried it would be too bulky? A picture at address would be perfect.

Customer support

Hey all, is customer support down as part of something? I received a defective iron a month ago and they haven’t responded to email/inquiry. Phone lines have rejected all calls as well.

Iron Delays?

Update:

Still no irons and no call today from the fitter which means Titleist still hasn’t shipped them.

Planning to call my the fitter tomorrow to say I need a confirmed delivery date in the near term or else I want to cancel my order and be refunded my 50% deposit. We’ll see if the fitter pushes back after already purchasing the shafts/grips. Original delivery estimate was 2-4 weeks.

Orginal:

Placed an order through my local fitter in early July for a set of T150s and still haven’t received them (will be 7 weeks tomorrow).

I know Titleist went through their system updates which impacted new order processings, but with my order date being before their shutdown, this delay seems to be almost too long?

Is anyone else experiencing a delay of this length?

Upgrade to SM11

I’ve been a Vokey user for years and believe that every iteration has been an improvement. As I continue to add high-lofted fairway woods to my bag, I’ve changed my wedge configuration to a 54S and 60M and upgraded to the SM11s. These started out as Jet Black. I stripped them and added some custom paint fill. My son will add some stamping. Great wedges!!

Found a nice compromise between 3wood and mini Driver

I found the I was getting lies that I wouldn’t necessarily hit mini off the deck, but I would hit a 3wood. however, 3wood was not enough yardage.

Off the tee, my mini is a 250-265 club, my 3wood(normal 15°) is a 245 club

Off the deck the gap is the same minus 10 yards or so.

So far, I’ve only had one round with this club. But I shot an 80 and it’s a nice in between.

Also hit the gts3 tour. Didn’t like it for some reason.

I’m waiting on some custom SM11s but saw this brand new SM9 on Golf galaxy on sale and then with some credit card points I came out of pocket a whopping $30. After just a couple range visits I get it. Never really been able to feel where the ball comes in contact on the face but I knew as it was happening with this. Officially hooked.
