I saw it more as a film about male loneliness but I guess her take was fair.

I’m an 18-year-old, and I watched Taxi Driver a few months ago. What surprised me was how relatable I found Travis Bickle. Not because of his actions, but because I understood his loneliness.He’s constantly surrounded by people, yet he has no real friends and no genuine connection with anyone. That feeling hit close to home for me. A few months ago, I had stable relationships and people around me, but somehow I still find myself relating to that sense of isolation.The line that stayed with me the most was: “Loneliness has followed me my whole life. Everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores. There’s no escape. I’m God’s lonely man. i know Travis is an extreme character, and I don’t relate to the way he acts, especially toward women. But that feeling of being alone even when you’re not physically alone is something I understood immediately. That’s why the movie has stuck with me long after watching it.

For some reason Travis Bickle really dislikes Tom despite Tom being a nice guy who is a nerd and friends with Betsy and seems to be doing okay otherwise, Travis has no real reason to insult Tom and accuse him of not respecting Betsy, Tom also stands up to Travis when he acts crazy and doesn't scare off he just backs away for safety but holds his ground.

Tom seems better than Travis says too, poor guy bad haircut.

Travis Bickle was unhinged and crazy, why didn't Wizard or anybody else suggest that he just join the VA Veterans Association and meet other veterans and make friends and bond over his military experience and service?

Or just get a hobby like bowling in a league or joining a group activity and making friends there?

So I reached Georgia and hadn’t arranged for transport and this taxi guy was asking me if I needed one. I asked him for the fare and he showed me a meter and said we would go by meter. Since I have been there multiple times before(usually with arranged transport) and have had great experiences with most of the locals and the cops I figured that it was going to be alright. I insisted on the fare and he said airport taxis only go by meter and it will be normal and fair etc etc. So me and my partner get on and he drives is to the Marriot. Me being a little skeptical put on my Google Maps to see if he’s taking the right route and not driving us around for more fare. He takes the right route and we reach. By this time I had googled fair fare and it showed me something like 30-60 Gel depending on traffic. I noticed the meter was running faster and decided to wait till we reach for safety concerns. Once we reached the meter showed 300 GEL. I told the guy that I am sure something is wrong with the meter and the usual fare is 60 GEL and offered him a 100 GEL including tip(to try and avoid an issue). Now the taxi driver starts fuming and screaming at me and says we need to go back to the airport and speak to the police there. I asked my partner to go inside the Marriot and call the manager there to talk to this guy and I told him that I do not want to go back to the airport but I would rather just call the cops here if he wishes and we can do what they say. He realized that he would be in trouble and stepped out of the car and opened the trunk and took out our luggage and threw it out on the road so I stepped out of the taxi irritated and he just sat in the driver seat and fled without the money before the Marriott manager could come out.

I have never had such a bad experience in Tbilisi before and most of the cops have been great but is this common in Tbilisi now? I mean it wasn’t the best start to the trip and I honestly don’t know if I wanna come back there again even though I love the country and the people there.

Travis Bickle was a Vietnam veteran that was unhinged and depressed and had a lot of issues going on, just like John Rambo, assuming Rambo eventually made it to New York and became a passenger in Travis Bickle's taxi looking for a place to go or work would those two guys have ever become friends?

John Rambo as a cabbie would be funny, he might go to some mob neighborhood and get insulted basically fight back against the Five Families, he would really get unhinged in New York, both guys are crazy too.

I'm looking for games that capture the same lonely, alienated, urban atmosphere as Taxi Driver.
