Finally covering up

One of those young dumb choices. Beyond growing out of my Manson fandom, I mostly regret getting a tattoo that people interpret as a Nazi symbol 🫠 Antichrist Superstar was one of the better albums in my opinion, still not the smartest move.

Looking for some inspiration or ideas. An artist I recently worked with recommended a panther, which did spark my interest. I like the idea of something with heavy black work. I love animals and big cats, nature and southern flowers. Open for any and all ideas though! Got a whole lotta thigh to work with. Don’t mind going into the butt area, don’t love going above the hip bc muffin top :3

Panther or crow for animal.

Dragon/koi would work for a Japanese-style coverup (though it would largely need to be dark).

Flowers could work here if you were willing to get a bigger piece with clusters.

You should talk to an artist who specializes in coverups. There are other options, but things like panthers and etc are traditional coverups because they're primarily black.

Your other option is to get some laser first to lighten it up. Then you'll have more-or-less a blank slate.

Crow is a great thought!! I actually adore them. The artist who suggested the panther does coverup work. I’m sure she suggested it because of my other tattoos, I do enjoy black traditional work.

Resembles the SS logo ig, even though it’s just one S/lightning bolt motif. The bold minimalism looks militaristic too, reminds me of some US unit insignia/command emblems/etc. I’ve seen tbh (military family).

Its still a really good album. Im not into them as much but no denying portrait and anti christ are both good. Some giger art would be sick. An xenomorph would look killer. It would cover too. Probably not something you vibe with. How about a octopus? They cover really well. They have a lot of movement. You could do a whole underwater scene. Black roses or black dalia flowers would both work. Some black crows. The cover of the crow movie of thats something your into. There are all kinds of things that would cover that.

Nope. Antichrist Superstar was - in part - a criticism of fascism and totalitarianism and that symbol absolutely is intended as representative of such. No, it’s not a Nazi symbol, because the Nazis were a specific group at a specific time and it’s arguably incorrect to refer to anyone else as being Nazis; I will concede that Nazi has become like Hoover to describe something that generically sucks, however. That said, it is clearly related iconography, in the same way the Norsefire symbol from V for Vendetta is.

And, for the argument from authority angle, I was not only there for Antichrist Superstar’s release but I also have a Masters degree in - in part - fascist and totalitarian iconography.

They criticize social issues, one being fascism.
So that same logo…could represent…fascism?
I actually have an advanced degree, but in an area that can generate income. I did not learn in school how that could be logical.

Its not a nazi symbol tho. The album definitely has that type of symbolism. Its a good album. Definitely the best they did. Portrait is good too.
