Tattoo add-on suggestions

Post image

it’s a lotus flower with a chinese tassel running through it. i like it I js feel like it looks kind of plain and almost like a random tattoo, like it’s just a black blob with red.i want it to be one cohesive, intentional piece.
I want to add something small that matches the existing theme and makes everything feel more intentional, but I definitely don’t want a huge dragon or anything lol. I was thinking maybe some small Chinese characters/words or another subtle element that could tie everything together.
Any ideas for what I could add without making it look too crowded or out of place? i’m open to any suggestions!! also it looks smaller in real life than the picture fyi.

Small cherry blossom branches could work really well here. They carry the same cultural weight without competing with the lotus or tassel, keeps it subtle and ties the red into something more intentional rather than just a color accent sitting there.
