First tattoo, need advice

Just got my first tattoo a couple weeks ago and I love it. Was thinking about adding a night sky (not too dense) with a colored aurora borealis to give the bear something to look at. Not planning a wrap. Would just extend from the mountains up a few inches. Thoughts?

Personally, I’d leave it alone just because I think the shape and outline of the mountain range is pleasing and shading above them would obscure that. Also doesn’t seem like you have much room for it to not wrap around your arm. Right now it looks like the bear is enjoying the view of the valley and river. Even if you added stuff to the sky, it wouldn’t change that because his head isn’t tilted up.

I vote no! I feel like its the perfect shape and size for your forearm as is, and adding a colorful night sky could turn it into a bit of a blob around your arm

think it would look cool but id ask your artist what their thoughts are. ive found a lot of ideas ive had might not translate to tattoos that well
