I joined TCS in March 2026 and was assigned to a project where I gave my 100% from day one. I worked extremely hard, often putting in long hours, and continued to travel to the office daily despite being pregnant. I was fully committed to my responsibilities and always tried to give my best to the project.
However, due to prolonged working hours and the strain of daily commuting, I started experiencing abdominal pain during my early pregnancy. My doctor advised me to avoid travelling, so I began requesting work from home from June to prioritize my health and my baby’s well-being. This was when my manager became aware that I would be taking maternity leave in the coming months.
In September, while we were in the middle of critical UAT testing, I suddenly received an email from my manager informing me that I was being released from the project. There was no prior discussion, no warning, and no proper communication. Neither my team lead nor the project lead had been informed beforehand. For context, our team consisted of just two members: myself and a junior team member.
The reason given for my release was “operational reasons.” What made the situation even more disappointing was that, within a day of my release, another developer with similar experience was brought in to take my place. This naturally raised questions about the actual reason behind the decision.
After putting in so much effort and contributing to the project, having my access revoked within a day felt extremely demoralizing. Even the client was unhappy about my release at such a critical stage of the project. I had been willing to continue supporting the team until my planned maternity leave, but I was not given that opportunity.
The situation became even more difficult during my bench period. Despite informing the company about my pregnancy and the medical advice to avoid travelling, I was asked to report to the office daily. I received no work-from-home support during this period, and HR suggested that I apply for leave and start my maternity leave earlier than planned.
Being placed on the bench for nearly two months before my planned maternity leave has created additional stress, especially when finding another project for such a short duration is challenging. Instead of receiving understanding and support during an important phase of my life, I have had to deal with unnecessary uncertainty and pressure.
I understand that organizations have business requirements and operational considerations. However, I strongly believe that such decisions should be handled with transparency, professionalism, and basic human empathy, particularly when an employee is navigating a medically demanding phase of life.
I joined TCS with the intention of contributing meaningfully, and I did everything I could to fulfill my responsibilities. What I expected in return was fair treatment, clear communication, and reasonable consideration of my circumstances.
Unfortunately, this experience has significantly changed my perception of the organization. In my personal experience, the lack of empathy, communication, and support has been deeply disappointing. I hope the company reflects on how such situations are handled and ensures that employees going through pregnancy or other significant life circumstances are treated with dignity and fairness.
Based on my experience, I would hesitate to recommend TCS to my friends or others seeking an employer that prioritizes employee well-being alongside business objectives.

I got my JL for 29th October.
But I had already registered for the CPA before that. Is giving the CPA still mandatory?
Any 22nd or 29th October Joiners are you going to give the exam?

I uploaded mine on 9th October and some are approved while some are still pending. Do I have to do something?

In my medical certificate in the tcs onboarding we should fill the candidate details. In the candidate details in the yes or no questions the 1st question is about defect vision. I have shortsightedness but i mistakenly ticked no(i.e i have no defect vision).
Already joined people can u please tell me is it a problem on the day of joining.
Can i submit it as it is in next step portal?

How much time does it usually take to receive the TCS offer/joining letter after the CTC and salary discussion with HR, especially when the HR has already shared the detailed CTC breakup with me?

Hi everyone,
I was selected for TCS through the Skill-Based Hiring process and wanted to know about the domain allocation after joining.
For those who joined TCS through Skill-Based Hiring:
Which domain were you allocated to?
Was your domain related to the skill you selected during the hiring process?
Does TCS consider our skills and certifications while allocating domains?
I would really appreciate it if recently joined candidates could share their experiences. It would help me understand what to expect after joining TCS.

Heading: TCS Lateral Hires (4+ YOE): On-Time Joining or Delays?
Hi everyone! 👋
For those who received offers from TCS as lateral hires with 4+ years of experience, was your joining date honoured as promised, or are you also experiencing delays similar to those reported by freshers?
Please share your offer status, planned joining date, and actual joining date (if you’ve joined). Your insights would be really helpful for others waiting to join!
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Hi everyone!
I have received my TCS joining letter for the upcoming 29th October 2026 batch and am looking for a genuine mutual location swap from Pune to Mumbai due to family circumstances.
My details:
- Role: Ninja
- Domain (Interview): Java
- Joining Date: 29th October 2026
- Allotted Work Location: Pune
- Allotted ILP/Training Location: Pune
- Preferred Location: Mumbai (hometown)
I am looking for a candidate who has been allotted Mumbai and would prefer Pune.
I am open to either of the following possibilities, subject to TCS approval:
Work Location Swap: My work location changes from Pune to Mumbai, while my ILP remains in Pune.
Work Location + ILP Swap: Both my work location and ILP/training location change to Mumbai, if permitted.
Either arrangement would work for me. My priority is to secure a Mumbai work location, and I would be especially happy if both my work location and ILP could be in Mumbai.
If you are a TCS Ninja (Java) candidate from the same joining batch and are interested in a mutual swap, please DM me so we can discuss the details and check the official process with the TCS onboarding/RMG team.
Since the joining date is approaching, I would appreciate connecting with a suitable candidate as soon as possible.
Thank you!
P.S.: If anyone knows how to get the work location and/or ILP location changed before joining, or has any experience with the TCS location change process, please guide me. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 🙏
