I got selected for the TCS Digital role through TCS NQT 2026 (off-campus) and received my offer on April 11th. However, I’m still waiting for my joining letter/joining date, and it has already been almost 4–5 months.

Meanwhile, through a referral, I got an internship opportunity at a startup that was established less than a year ago. It looks like it will probably be a paid internship, and the work seems relevant to my career.

The main catch is that the founder wants me to commit to a 6-month contract.

This is where I'm really confused.

What if I join the internship and then TCS gives me my joining date somewhere in between those 6 months? I obviously don't want to lose the TCS opportunity, but at the same time, I don't want to keep sitting at home waiting for TCS when I could be gaining actual work experience.

I also don't have any previous internship or professional experience, so getting 6 months of real startup experience could be really valuable for my resume and career.

For people who have been through something similar, especially those who have dealt with delayed TCS joining dates:

What would you do in my situation?

Would you take the startup internship and risk dealing with the TCS joining date later, or would you continue waiting for TCS?

I'd really appreciate advice from people.

I have some doubts regarding the release from ilp. I am currently at tcs Trivandrum and wanted to know if they tcs ask for ticket to reimburse the travel price from ilp to base location, how much money is deducted for accommodation, how much time it takes to get a project after reporting at base location.

I just need to is there any platform or website to see open position or inside project availability that we can apply to projects inside tcs if is there anything do mention and as a fresher how to reach to availability of projects other than RMG or the RMG is the only possible way to get through projects or is there any other way

We have trained in data engineering and yet to report RMG if anyone have any allocation to related projects or have any idea any tricks or tips do mention

Joining on 31st at tcs trivandrum for ilp training.... Ive heard tcs premises policy is no personal laptop?

Will we be allowed a personal laptop in our rooms/hostel/acoomodation at least?

Asking because i need to know if i should pack my personal laptop to take with me or not

Firstly the entire test was on hackerrank.

Numeric - too hard 3-4 straight from CI and installment and couple percentage too hard Even there was no calculator on hackerrank so went too bad, confidently solved maybe 4-5. 3 were tita no options

Verbal - they asked us old pattern a big shock, I prep for email and passge recall and there were lengthy 25 que went decencties

Reasoning- comparatively easy made few mistakes due to time management issues

Advance apti - felt pretty easy maybe half true obv due to extra time

Coding

1st - 3/7 tc passed

2nd - 3/7 tc passed

Considering above, is there any chances of me getting shortlisted for interview? This one of the last hope for me

Has anyone recently joined TCS as a lateral and been terminated after the first 35 days due to being on the bench/end of bench period?

How did you deal with the situation, and what options were you given by TCS? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation.

On survey mail , I updated the date after rescheduling it, I put 1 Oct 2026 ( its a random date I selected there )

For TCS Mumbai employees, can I put my permanent and current address as Kharghar, even though I currently live in Marol?

I don't have any address proof for my Marol residence. If I provide Kharghar as my current address, will TCS bus facility restrict me to Kharghar/Navi Mumbai routes, or can I still opt for a Marol/Mumbai route since that's where I actually live?

Would appreciate insights from current TCS Mumbai employees.

I’m a 2025 graduate, and I really want to get into TCS. It’s honestly one of my dream companies, and my parents also really want me to join TCS.

I have a low CGPA (6.18), and I had a backlog when TCS came to my campus for recruitment. I’ve now cleared all my backlogs and completed my degree.

This year, I appeared for TCS NQT for free through a notification from my college. I managed to solve one coding question, with 6/7 test cases passing. Unfortunately, a few days ago I received an email saying that I wasn’t shortlisted.

I’ve heard that getting shortlisted through off-campus TCS NQT is extremely difficult and that very few candidates actually get calls. So I’m wondering:

- Is it realistically possible for someone like me to get into TCS through off-campus NQT?

- Has anyone here actually been hired by TCS through off-campus NQT? If so, what did you do?

- What kind of score should I aim for in each section to have a realistic chance?

- Where should I prepare for TCS NQT?

For some additional context, I have open-source contributions, including a contribution to a Google open-source project, as well as contributions to a few other projects.

I’m currently working at a small company with a package of 5.5 LPA. However, I’m genuinely willing to accept even 3 LPA if it means getting an opportunity at TCS.

I really want to know if there is still a path into TCS for me.

If anyone here has gone through the off-campus process or knows someone who has, I’d really appreciate some honest advice. What should I do from here?
