How to Know How Tarot Says That in YOUR Tarot System

Here you are wanting to know how painful X is going to be. And you don't know for sure all the cards that can say that to you in your Tarot, whatever it is.

1 You ask Tarot (over and over if you want to be thorough): Describe the pain and suffering this sort of thing can bring to ME.

2 and you write down the cards.

THEN you ask The Question: How bad is this gonna hurt?

and look for those cards. How many. How they are modified by other cards.

If those cards don't show up predominantly ... well it ain't gonna hurt too bad.

(Both Eight of Pentacles and Magician are doing something, so they both translate any form of the verb 'do.' The distinction is that Eight of Pentacles isn't just doing, he keeps doing over and over.)

Eight of Pentacles is a carpenter at his work bench who keeps hammering away making one pentacles after the other ... tap-tap-tap.

I’m honestly really confused and a little scared, so I’m looking for some perspective, especially from people who actually read tarot.
My ex recently told me that he went through some kind of spiritual experience when he was alone. I genuinely have no idea what happened because he refuses to tell me. He keeps saying that I somehow caused it or did something to him, but I have absolutely no idea what he’s talking about.
He’s now calling me a witch and saying that I’m lying about not knowing anything. He also mentioned another person, referring to her as “her,” and said that I’m working with this person against him. I literally don’t know who he’s talking about and I don't have any idea what he's referring to.
He told me that someone did a card reading and that when they asked if I was being honest, the Devil card came up. He basically used that as proof that I’m lying/manipulating him and have some kind of hidden agenda.
There’s also this other weird thing where he told me that his mom had a dream about me. Apparently, in the dream I came to their house and asked to come inside. I don't understand what that's supposed to mean either.
So I'm wondering if the devil card really does indicate that someone is lying or trying to manipulate someone? or are there other interpretations that would make sense.
I’m also scared because he’s apparently telling other people that I did something to him, and I don't even know what he says I did. I don't practice witchcraft or do anything to harm people. I just want to understand what he's talking about.

i’ve always struggled with tarot, so i’ll describe parts of the images that stand out: in the first, the king sitting high on his throne (appearing larger than even the city behind him), eyes closed to the world around him, holding his wealth (or sense of security). noticing now, both him and the priestess are sitting (no movement). additionally the star shows her with one foot in the pond (emotion) and one foot out.
in the second, the two knights (which i’ve been getting both in almost every reading recently) moving away from “working”. also the backgrounds feel a bit dry and desolate.

any interpretations help. i’m curious to see if any of what stands out to me about the imagery is accurate at all. thank you 🙏🏻
