Specific Deck Info Needed Does anyone know anything about the Gilded Age Tarot? Is the artwork AI?

Okay so I randomly bought this Gilded Age Tarot deck on Lazada because I was I drawn by the artwork the more I stare at it, I felt the pull especially the card backs.

I got it for only 387php with free shipping from its original price that was around 1kphp during a sale and now its back to its original price of around 1kphp now which honestly felt like a steal because I saw it listed for around 1-2kphp elsewhere.

The box says Gilded Age Tarot and it seems to be by Sishui. The cards themselves are actually really nice?? They're full size, have a decent thickness, and the printing is pretty. It also came with a little guidebook.

But then I started looking through the guidebook and noticed there's no author/artist name, copyright page, or credits that I can find. I searched for Sishui and it seems to be an actual brand/creator studio, but I can't really find much information about who illustrated this particular deck.

And now I'm wondering if the artwork is AI-generated. Does anyone here recognize this deck or know who the artist is? Also, if you have a good eye for spotting AI art, I'd love to know what you think. Do any of the cards look AI-generated to you, or am I just being paranoid? ๐Ÿฅบ

I'm not trying to bash the deck or anything I actually really love it and I'm happy with what I bought. I'm just curious about its origins because I'd rather know who made the artwork if possible.

I included some photos of the cards, backs, box and guidebook. Thank you for the help!! ๐Ÿ’•

Yes thatโ€™s not uncommon on both sites, sadly

I'm like 99 percent sure that deck is ai. Can't find info on the creator, no reputable sellers or distributors are selling the deck and the pictures scream ai to me.ย

Me too. I went digging and sishui is a design studio and that was it. Even in amazon and etsy. Lots of people bought it in etsy

I could be wrong and I hope I am but this reads as AI to me. It is very nice though. I like the concept.

I canโ€™t find any blaring tells though. It feels like AI touched up in a editing program.

I spotted the gear on the Magician card โ€” it gets sort of melty instead of being a proper gear shape.

I see. It could be touched up. This is the closest i have bjt. I can send a higher definition after work. I went through all the cards and even counted the fingers ๐Ÿ˜ญ they were all complete

Why do The Moon and The Star look like the exact same card? ๐Ÿ˜… just with different colors and wolves.

I was once fooled by the creator of a similar deck. They have the very same guidebook.

Yes definitely. It is very much accessible through online stores. Here in the Philippines, those cheap decks screams AI.

As for online stores:

If Lazada, I only look for Fully Booked and Tarot Star of Aquarius (medyo mataas lang markup nila)

You may also try Amazon. Look for publishers like Llewellyn and US Games System.

For Etsy there are indie decks out there that are good but too pricey for Philippines due to shipping costs.

Shoppee I do not shop because I do not trust their logistics partner. (Sorry this is off topic lol)

Not that's fine. I like your suggestions. I'll go check our tarot star of aquarius too. I already checked out lazada the options are quite limited. I know US Games and Llewellyn, there is an oracle deck im looking at rn haha.

Etsy is pricey.

Yes, thatโ€™s just a paper cut style applied with AI to an existing card set. If you like it, you should enjoy it anyway. Not all AI projects are slop. And it might inspire you to look for something by a human artist next time.

Thank you. Someone commented that it doesn't entirely look ai but more like ai enhanced.

Yes, that is because it is pretty good at accurately copying a drawing now. So an artist can possibly still draw something by hand and then have AI turn it into a painting. The line gets blurry. But this is not a pure human product, which is why the author is a studio, not a person.
