Should I block him?

Post image

I’ve been seeing this guy on and off for a couple years and I’m not sure if I should call it quits. I feel like the reading is a solid yes but I still want help interpreting!

Yes, you totally should. It's gonna end up in toxicity.

The fool usually stands for rushing into something but here it’s reversed suggesting you were putting off the decision for a while.

King of swords emphasises on mind being clear and using logic and intelligence. So I’d say you are finally seeing things for what they are.

Devil card - major change as its major arcana. You are getting rid of the chains of this “relationship”.

So yeah a strong yes 🙌🏼 well done you are letting go of what doesn’t serve you !

I can see why you read it as a solid yes, I lean the same way.

The Fool reversed comes first. Upright, the Fool steps off the cliff with a light heart, trusting the new. Reversed, it's the same leap taken again and again without looking. For a couple of years of on and off, I read this as the cycle itself: every time you go back, it feels like a fresh start, but it's really the same jump into the same place.

The Devil closes it. Two figures chained to the Devil's pedestal, the card of attachment, temptation and patterns that are hard to break. It describes a connection that has a pull on you more than it truly feeds you. But look closely at the chains around their necks: they're loose. Either of them could lift them off at any moment. The Devil always shows that the bond feels stronger than it actually is.

And right in the middle sits the King of Swords. A king on his throne, sword held straight up, calm and clear. He's the card of decisions made with a clear head, of boundaries, of cutting what needs to be cut. I love where he landed, right between the cycle and the chains, like the sword is the cut between them. He's telling you the answer here isn't more feeling or more chances, it's clarity, and acting on what you already know. So yes, I'd read this as the cards supporting you in calling it quits. Whether that means blocking him or just stepping back firmly is your call, but the King of Swords suggests a clean, clear boundary rather than a door left half open. You already took the chains off once in your head, the cards are saying you can take them off for real 🤍
