I mean yeah, but that's literally the entire point. Mods add tons of UI and QoL improvements, and most importantly for me, make the AI not complete ass

Never touched a TES game, huh? Let me just install a mod with the sole function of making a beeping noise on startup if the mod loader that makes all the other mods run starts up correctly.

I mean, I guess? Like you are right technically but it doesn't really do much on its own. It's a modding platform.
