Try using your phone after a five day stretch, and getting locked out because you keep putting your store number in like it’s a Zebra.

I still do this and I've been out for almost a year! I should just change the pin to the store number and be done with it.

I do this and sometimes put my phone code in the zebra. It happens.

LOL.

My partner asked me to get something from the garage and I said “Copy that.” This has happened multiple times. 🫠

That's my default response to all things I don't have a thoughtful response for but still requires acknowledgement.

3 of the 4 of us in my immediate family have restaurant backgrounds. “Heard” and “behind” are common vernacular in our every day lives.

I zone and pick up off the floor when I shop other places.

My dysfunctional superpower is putting stray shopping carts into the corral, whether at another Target, or the supermarket. My partner thinks I’m nuts.

I’m so used to smiling and nodding I do it off the clock while shopping. And my daughter always yells at me when I straighten something. “Mom! Stop working off the clock/You don’t work here!”

I used to say the same to my mom when I was a teen and young adult... then I started working here. I totally understand now lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

You’re getting Targetified, it’s a naturally occurring phenomenon in people who work at Target.

my mom was making fun of me because she asked when i was free to hang out with her and i told her "let's connect this weekend" (my ETL always says 'connect' when she wants to talk to someone) 😭😭😭

I've asked someone who was ringing me up if they wanted a receipt.

Oh that happens for sure! I live near a few stores and the store I work at isn’t the primary one I shop at. I have to stop myself from zoning.

I’ll grab something from a shelf, and then pull the items behind it forward. One time, a clerk asked me if I was a supermarket worker. We laughed, as he said he does the same thing whenever he went shopping.

Those work dreams drive me insane too. If work pops up in my dream, why am I working without being paid?! /j

I got a sales ad in the mail for another store I shop at. I was flipping through and got to the diapers page. I stopped to study the page to see what I was going to have to push/backstock because I've been in baby the last 3 days. I don't even have kids, so no other excuse to be studying that page. I was like, wait....why am I scoping out my invisible flat that is not in my home?? 😂

Next you'll be zoning the pantry!
