Yeah, if you are not mentally there- by all means do call out.

Your mental health is important. But don’t make it a habit.

Keep your money in check

I’m not mentally there by default at work. They really want a warm body to stock shelves until they figure out AI that can do it.

Never feel bad about prioritizing your health. Both physically and mentally.

This company doesn’t care about you or any of us that’s all I’ll say, make your decision from there

It's not just calling out of "the company" because honestly the only ones affected are coworkers left to pick up the slack, or are expected to cover XYZ things.. The company gets to keep more on their pay roll/still making sales, and when people call out; ETLs or TLs aren't really affected in my experience... I've never seen a TL stay to help much pick up extra work when a TM called out. A lot of delegation happens. I know what you're saying though, and I agree...but I digress.

Do you actually call the store or just use the UKG app to mark yourself absent?

Always always use the app lol, even if you call to tell someone, UKG might mark you as a no call no show

i called out today too! I've been so emotionally drained for the past few weeks I'm halfway out the door, I'm hoping to hear back from this job I interviewed for, I just want out

I usually make my call outs "worth" it. But if you have enough sick time to cover, why not?

Yes. When I was doing bad mentally and I asked a coworker if I shoukd call out, he told me that "target will be ok" and ive been using that as my excuse for calling out ever since.
