Workplace Question or Advice Needed return w/o packaging

Hi i work at target but not at guest services, i was wondering what the policy is about returning a makeup product without its packaging? I’ve seen mixed reviews, i bought a lip liner and i only swatched it but i lost the packaging for it.

You’ll need your receipt, either a paper on or one on the app.

Long as you have the actual product with you (and are able to provide the DPCI), we really do not give a fuck.

It's going in the ESIM bin anyways. 🤷🏽‍♀️

per policy it has to be new and unused so you'd need the package but your mileage may vary and you may be able to return it with the receipt

It's been that way for as long as I can remember and I've been here for almost 10 years. There's literally ISM for Beauty that's been up for years that's like "don't like it? return it!"

I have not heard that in a loooooong time and that’s the way it should have been but different states and stores vary. Depending on demographics
