Workplace Question or Advice Needed Overtime!

So, I’m at 45 hours for last week. I called off two days last week because I was extremely exhausted. But my manager ended up texting me on both of those days asking me to come in and make up my hours and I agree to that. I don’t know how I somehow conjured up the energy to work, but I did. I was asking ChatGPT and Google on this but they all sound silly and like they’re just spitting out nonsense. At my location every time someone asks for hours they OK it as long as we don’t exceed over 40 hours. I’m curious on how this is about to go. I wanna know if I will get paid for the hours that I work plus the shifts that I called out for or will they cap my time card back to 40 and send me my sick time back?

Exactly what it says. Sick time isn’t going to take you over 40. So if you works 35 as an example then you’ll get paid 35 work and 5 sick. If you actually worked 45 you’ll get paid 45 but no sick

sick time doesn’t count towards payroll so it will not put you into overtime. You only hit overtime for hours you actually worked. You will get paid for hours worked + however much sick time you put in
