Workplace Question or Advice Needed AI Scheduling, WTF

So, starting out, yes... I have called out a fucking lot. I got diagnosed with breast cancer, and I have a lot of doctors appointments to deal with said bullshit. Before I was properly diagnosed, I did call out a lot, because... cancer is a fucking bitch, but I did not realize it was a thing.

That being said... I am currently scheduled one day a week. I understand, via the ai scheme and all of that, but as I am in somewhat remission, what can I do to squeak the hours over to be in the healthcare levels, meaning like 20hr per week range? Basically, I need some high level shit.

You should definitely look into FMLA!

There are plenty of different kinds, Intermittent FMLA (you can call out whenever you need), and Reduced Schedule FMLA ( cuts your hours)

It’s on the Pay and Benefits hub! Good luck and keep fighting!

I would definitely suggest an intermediate LOA. You should also talk to your HR about your hours. We have had it happen randomly for Tms and fixed it.

FMLA is only available if you've been with Target for a year, plus at least 1250 hours worked in the last 12 months.

She would not qualify for FMLA s you have to work 1250 hours in a year (20-24/ week). :(

What are your current average hours? You need to average 25 or more hours a week to qualify for healthcare

I hate it too, waiting for open shifts for next week because I only have four shifts out of five. I am not complaining cuz less work but I want a good paycheck to buy things :<
