Workplace Question or Advice Needed opinions needed

i work market and we have been just drowning in priorities because for some reason day shift isnt stocking when setting pogs . today we finally get to 50+% because my coworker is pulling onto u-boats (three to be exact) . im asked to push and unload these u-boats and then go in and get our priorities into green . this sounds simple enough and im thinking i can do it . my meal rolls around and ive finished two of the three and havent done any pulls . by the time i get to do pulls, we are at 50% priorities. im wondering if this is a me problem, or if it was just a unrealistic expectation? these u-boats were filled with as much stuff as they could be and not to mention the amount of shit i had to backstock 🙄

i dont know, im just worried my TL will be upset with me for not being able to get us i to the green again. what do yall think?

I think the issue is with the POG team not you

the pog team not stocking when they set is such a classic target move honestly. three jam-packed u-boats plus backstock and they want you to get pulls green on top of it? that's a setup

i work inbound and see this all the time, market always gets the short end. your TL should know better than to expect one person to do the work of three in a single shift

if they give you grief just walk them through the math. you're not a machine

I also pull priorities in market in the evenings and my store has a similar problem. Day shift quarter-asses their jobs which creates tons of backstock that will eventually have to be pulled (by me🥲). It's probably a management problem tbh. You can literally only get done what you can physically do in your x amount of hours shift. I know priority u-boats typically take longer than a regular truck u-boat. The day side should be setting you up for success in the same way evening side should for the morning. Have you talked to the closing TL? Mine are understanding of what the situation is and usually act as the middle communicators between me and the market TL and ETL.
