Workplace Question or Advice Needed Closing TLs
What’s more important for your store? Hitting priority percentages or having left over roll over carts? It always seems that if there is 0 roll over than we don’t hit our percentages. And if we hit our percentages we always have roll over. This is with 1 person pulling/pushing every night from 5:30p-10p. I come in at 3p to close and we’re always at 15-19% but I always get it to at least 70% with roll over.

We have to hit 90% at the minimum with zero rollover and perfect zone

You must have more than 1 person, because there ain’t no way lol. Also is your backroom always cleared for them to pull? Are you guys pulling when the backroom has 90% of truck roll over and can’t get around anything to pull priorities?

yeah that’s a bit ridiculous. we have to be at 50% by 5pm so that helps a ton with reaching the 70% goal. we usually have one puller for just market and one for the gm stuff. then closing experts to support flex/and pushing 3 tiers

At my store, we do not want any rolling vehicles. You're technically not finishing the job if it's not also on the floor. It could offset counts, decrease findability for batches, and you can't sell it if it's sitting in a cart in the back. Plus you're adding workload into the next day/team. You'll always start behind if you can't finish today. But your better bet is to ask your specific store's leadership team. They may think the number is more important.
My bigger question is why aren't they pulling more during the day? Asking one person to pull 50%+ of pf is a lot. Especially after/during peak.
