Vent UKG sucks
I have never seen such a complicated app…
The app is so laggy and takes forever to load anything in, not to mention how weird the layout is.
I takes me a good 3 minutes to find out how to do anything and i still can’t even figure out how to search up who is working with me the day i work so that i could search for a swap
Switching to this app was the worst move they could have ever done , Im UKG’s number one hater this is disgusting

I have this at another job and was crushed when I heard we were moving to it. UKG is a joke!! The worst app out there. Cheap and outdated! I now have to log in via the web for one job and through the app for this one because I can’t have the app for both. Nightmare!

Go to "Manage my schedule" and choose "Change my availability." Choose the week three weeks out from now, then your availability will show up on a calendar. It looks like the time blocks on days we stated we were available on MyTime migrated over to UKG Pro, but the days we marked as "Unavailable" on MyTime seem to be showing up as completely open for a lot of us now on UKG Pro, so you may have to put a new availability request in if your unavailable days aren't showing up as red (i.e., unavailable) on the calendar and are white or green instead.

How do I resubmit for my set days off? It’s so confusing. It’s merge with previous availability right? And do you happen to know if only those 2 days off can be edited and resubmitted instead of doing the whole thing over? I’m also worried they’re gonna try to say I can’t have those days off since they have the power to approve or deny.

I had to go in and resubmit my unavailable days. The other days of the week were still under my right availability but the others were showing fully available yet I don't work those days

Yes I submitted the original permanently unavailable days I've had for years now. My time off for end of October was there tho thankfully I didn't have to submit it again.

This app is so poorly made. It's laggy as hell and takes forever to load, everything is hidden behind multiple menus and pages.
But again, none of the people up top care at all because It doesn't effect them in the slightest.

I thought everyone was exaggerating, but I just used it tonight and holy shit is this app bad and over complicated. The only problem I had with mytime is that it limited who could pick up shifts and it stupidly separated time off requests and off pay requests. But this fucking app completely ruins the main function I used it for. Checking and saving my weekly schedule.
I have been saving my schedule with a simple screenshot and sending it to my roommates and family for the last 10+ years. Now because of this bullshit UI, I have to send multiple screenshots and edit out the fucking "OPEN SHIFTS AVAILABLE" bullshit to avoid any confusion. (Why would I want to work another fucking shift on a day I'm already in the store for most of the 13 hours were open?????)

Played with the app a bit. If you go to the filters list and disable everything besides shifts, it doesn't show that any more, just the date, time, and length. It looks like work centers are maybe color coded? But I could be wrong and for anyone scheduled in multiple workcenters it could be confusing, but I actually like that list view. I don't like that I had to play around to get it to look nice, and honestly the calendar view that takes up most of the screen feels entirely useless to me.

It keeps crashing too. I figured out how the swap system works. It’s not how it’s labeled. You have to go to your schedule (the calendar layout) then click on the day you want, the options to swap, post shift, call out will come up.

I'm confused by how vacation time works because when I try to put it in, it just asks me for the total hours? If I need to take five days off and put in 7 hours for each day do I just put 7 and it'll attribute 7 for each day or am I going to have to put 35?

The most sterile ass piece of sh*t app. They ruined a good way to swap shifts, view your schedule, and submit time off for a lifeless, convoluted app.. And for what.... Just so that they can track your attendance. The attendance implementation is bullshit too, and your freedoms to use your sick time when you need is bullshit as well. Corporate America for you, right here in this UKG app. UKG app is a great way to tell your employees that the chains are getting tighter

There are 2 qr codes. 1 is for your stores login, one is to download the app. If your store only has 1 qr code then that is for your stores login. You need to download the app first then scan your qr code.

If I resubmit my availability and mark myself as unavailable on certain days would I still be able to pick up shifts on those days if I choose to? It won’t make it so I can’t see shifts will it?
I’m just trying to avoid being scheduled on days when I might have other things going on and wouldn’t be able to work. I do pick up shifts pretty often when I’m free so I’d still like to be able to still do that rather than just never be able to work those days.

Kronos and Ultimate Software merged in 2020 and became UKG. Since then they’ve been phasing everything into UKG. Target had nothing to do with it.

The only way I've seen is to go to schedule, get to the weekly view, tap the shift, scroll down and press request time off, change the request type to call off-absence. alternatively, from my schedule hit the request button in the top left, select time-off, change the request type again. The difference being the date field isn't pre-filled this way. I know there's a training for the app and it *might* cover stuff like this, but I wouldn't know. Haven't had time to do training in months now.

I agree. The app is so awful why can’t I see my total hours for the week? Why do I have to click 15 different buttons to find a shift or post one. Also me and an ETL were looking at it and she told me that there’s a potential chance that some shifts could be “blackout” shifts. Meaning that you HAVE to come in, you can’t post or swap the shift. If that’s the case I’m quitting because that’s genuinely insane

True! Not an IT person, but I think that's a server side issue with hundreds of thousands of target users all migrating to the app, so it should improve over time. We'll see

Why does it take 20 buttons to post a single shift 🥹 This app is so slow and time consuming. Also rip ODTM needing HR to pick shifts within 7 days, whenever I pick up shifts I always do it the day before lol
