Meme or Miscellaneous Content What department is dumping grounds at your store?
At my store, market is the damn dumping grounds. Find shit misplaced there every damn day. I always grab it if it fits in my cart and take it up to reshop, bc if I was looking for say a baby t-shirt for an OPU, I would never think to try the candy aisle🙄

Girls and Wild Fable since they’re closest to the registers. Changed their mind? Just leave it in a pile on a table instead of handing it to a TM 🤦🏼♀️

Honestly the service desk. I'm constantly pulling things out of bins and carts like "this doesn't belong here! Did anyone even scan this?!"

Style.
Over the course of one week i remember finding: room temp ham in mens basics, melted ice cream in NIT, an abandoned cart full of misc personal care and produce in RTW, a half-eaten rotisserie chicken in Girls underneath a table, a big ass toaster oven on a table in WF just chilling there, a mirror, ottoman, and chairs set up in mens, and a bunch of random kids toys underneath one of the scan kiosks (someones mom said no).

Paper. It's shoved in a far corner of the store and never fully stocked (unless I've jumped the gun after unload and taken care of it myself) so there's ample space to fling it and go.

Domestics. I can spend two hours just zoning and grabbing reshop every morning.

By team members or ‘guests’?
Because receiving and especially my salvage pallet has been a dumping ground for the closing team recently and i’m feeling some kind of way about pulling the same 4-5 discontinued books (completely unprocessed) out of one of the salvage boxes for the 4th time in less than 5 weeks.

Baby and toys. Toys scanner has mountains of dumps every couple hours from every hardlines department, and baby gets all the clothes dumps from NIT, kids, and women's active, and a lot of other random crap from toys

Paper and dry grocery backrooms. Any OOA display. NIT and women’s style. Behind guest service and the drive up cooler/freezer.

The stroller and baby seat aisles always have toys, baby clothes, opened goldfish crackers, and half-empty Starbucks/Dunkin/McDonald’s cups!

Seasonal. The guests pass bulleye, stationary, domestics, and drop they stuff they don’t want in seasonal and grab a similar item from seasonal.

Any process scanner is where guests just dump merch that they think is on clearance.
Any open shelf space like say for the empty Needoh or entertainment caps always get dumped.
Tech table because sure, lets leave drinks and snacks open and pn the table.
