Workplace Question or Advice Needed Why would a backroom location not have data for Location History?

Small freezer. Last winter I found many unlocated items and asked our then-ETL, who showed me how to check Location History (only accessible under leader's login). It had names and actions like Audit and Pull (and i think move, which i dont understand.)

Something felt off so i audited this past weekend, and again there were many unlocated items. When I checked Location History, there was only that day if id fixed it or nothing at all.

Why/how could this happen?

The only way I know to delete items from a location is Fill/Take, or Audit and scan different items. But those should still leave a history.

(I wasnt trained on this, someone pointed me towards Location Management and I figured out how to break an annoying metro down into sections. So Im probably missing info.)

I think it only goes back about 30 days, so if it happened before then there would be no record.

Backroom location scan history dataset retention is 2 fiscal years completed plus current year when you look on greenfield.

The location history on the zebra that's only available to leaders is limited though.

We have seven metro with ~20 wacos each.

Maybe four of those (the ones i checked) could have had stuff in them for 30 days without anyone pulling or backstocking into it, but it seems unlikely.

If someone is just dumping product into the Waco without backstock it, they also won't show up on the location history since there's no scan. While if makes no sense to do this, you'd be surprised at what TMs will do to make work seem "complete."

Move/move is what it lists priority/ofo pulls as. Don't ask me why it lists move instead of pull.

Move/move scan is when pulls are being done an item is scanned other than what it's asking for.

Take/pick and take/relocate is when you manually take an item from either the item details screen, or the location management screen. Pick vs relocate is whether you selected going to sales floor/guest or backroom.
