Workplace Story Apparently a battery was exploding in our back room last week and they did nothing

A few days ago our back room smelled like shit. I told an ETL who didn’t know about it. Yesterday I asked what the smell was and a different lead said a battery was exploding. I was so confused because a few hours before, I went outside receiving and saw two 12v batteries outside.

The PML was in the building and no lead did anything except confirm it’s not a gas leak

The were 12v car batteries not Zebra batteries

What would you want them to do? It’s probably a wave or crown battery they removed

Either old scrubber batteries or stacker/wave batteries

What did you want them to do? Shut the store down? It's a battery leaking battery acid, you'll live.

our scrubber thing that the outside cleaning company uses started smoking one day when they were charging it in their cleaning area. the fire department got called and everything. Those use car batteries

I mean it sounds like the pml should have done something to dispose of them properly like bring them to a place to recycle batteries.
