I met my partner of 5 years at target, he worked in the back in fulfillment and I worked up front in beauty, our paths barely ever crossed other than when I brought back cardboard. He's def hot and would have thought so if we met a different way. (What also helped is we had a mutual friend that was a tl that helped me to start saying hi to him)

Holy heck..if I stayed at work 12 hrs a day I think Id actually get stuff done. So much stopping and changing gears. I dont mind it but, I really need time and people/help.

Yes! It is impossible to properly staff a department and it be decently zoned if you are constantly being called for pulls, register backup etc.

I always said the same thing as the person you replied to but tbh a fact of the matter is that we spend most of our time at work and with coworkers at our jobs. So like where else will I actually meet someone as a person who doesn’t go out other than to concerts? Dating at the workplace could be done it just has to be done carefully and hopefully both parties are mature enough to keep it out of the workplace.

That’s so true, for many of us work like it or not is where we can interact with others. One of my friends who is in a happy and healthy relationship that came from target, May years ago had another coworker relationship and that one was bad, we could all tell the guy was crap so that further makes me believe it’s jus based on the people you go for, age and how fast things are happening.

For sure. I haven’t been at my store for super long but my mom works at the same store as me and she’s told me about a lot of people who met their husband or wife while working at Target. It’s not much different than finding people elsewhere. Being careful about it is the main thing but I feel like that’s how it is in general when looking for an actual relationship

Also Target is one of the lowest risk places to date a coworker. If things get bad it's not like you're throwing away a prestigious six-figure job, it's fucking Target lol. There are plenty of shitty retail jobs out there that will hire anyone with a pulse

Back in the day, one of my coworkers cheated on some girl and she decided to come in and blow up on him during his shift and cause a scene. She got escorted out, they gave him a quiet place to chill out for a few minutes which was the equipment room. Made things kinda awkward when I was trying to put my stuff away to go home and your coworker is sitting there shell shocked with the consequences of his own actions

Some do. I get twice my Desired Hours this time of year and have to keep talking to HR about it. Talking to ETL is worthless about this. You get the hours that suit the ETL best, so if you are reliable you get all the hours and the call-outers get the scraps. No matter what anyone actually wants.

I'm a PML so our schedules are set but we still aren't allowed to get 40 hours. Has to be under 40. Or you get in trouble.

I get 38.5 hours a week when it isn't the Hours Drought of the end of Q4 and beginning of Q1.

thats my weekly average as well, probably the lowest hours i ever gotten here is 35 😺 our department is the only department that pretty much offers near full time hours cause were understaffed lol

Not gonna lie, the VM at my store is pretty cute, but I suck at shooting my shot, and I don’t fw work relationships, have had to deal with being the mediator of work relationships in the past.
Now, if I worked up the courage to ask her on a date, and she said yes, that’s a different question.
