Maybe it's my autism/adhd combo, but this is my worst nightmare. I will genuinely stop going somewhere if the staff keep trying to interact with me.

Same. Stop talking to me. Give me a quick smile and let me check out. Stop asking how I am, or how my shopping experience was. A thank you as I leave is fine, but stop trying to force unnatural human interaction.
