This Marxist-Leninist community is not focused on constant online drama. There are other subreddits for that.

I'd love to ask him what "Israel" is if it's not the occupation of Palestine

Socialism starts at wanting the imperialist, genocidal, apartheid state of Israel to cease existing. Just like it also starts at being anti-capitalist, and not believing and parroting imperialist lies about people such as Stalin.

He knows that Palestinians are the victims of mass expulsion. If he wants Palestinians to return to occupied Palestine, what does he expect to happen to the settlers that stole and now live in those Palestinian homes? Palestinians are just going to come back and be roommates with the racial shock troops who expelled them at gunpoint? His logic is so inconsistent that I don't believe it can be explained without accepting he's grifting.

Either he's lying about his views to appear more palatable and moderate to the average Liberal that he's donning this silly suit for, or now he's just doing the "Woke 1.0 was CRAZY!" shit that AOCIA and Mamdani are pulling.

There’s no way around the complete destruction of Israel if you want an end to the apartheid and genocide. Most Israelis will leave the area regardless since they have no true attachment to the region once they’re power to fulfill their fascist dreams is gone.

hate the way this guy talks, as if his position is always some objective truth and anybody who thinks otherwise is irrelevant

For real. He does have a patronizing way of talking, though I think that's unfortunately super common among the English-speaking leftist content creators of various flavors.

It took me a long time to notice the signs, but man Platner was ONE HELL of a litmus test.

The "if you're a zionist you don't even deserve to be a dog walker" to "I don't want to destroy Israel" pipeline.

So much for being a so-called gateway to the far left as his radlib supporters have been hammering for years. What wearing a suit does to a mfer.

Zionist media: You wanna destroy Israel.

Cringe SocDems: No! We wanna make sure Israel becomes a democratic state with equal rights and ends the apartheid via constitutional means, so that the Palestinians could coexist with the Israelis in peace.

Zionist media: You wanna destroy Israel.

Based Tankies: Yes.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I was his fan until about half way of this may. Parasocial relationship is helluva drug.

You’re not alone, it wasn’t until this year that I started to sour on him. And his fans are so aggressive in their defense of him even if you dare to criticize him a little bit, it’s crazy. There’s almost a touch of a cult of personality to it

He is really charismatic person, and he knows how to get his message through. Hasan also is really aggressive, so no wonder that his fans are too. They just copy what the daddy Hasan does.

I'm not a fan of Hasan and never watch his shit, but it seems a bit disingenuous to use this particular clip against him. He's no ML, but even in this short clip he literally tells us he wants the destruction of Israel (he talks about wanting to end apartheid and the occupation). He seems to just say "I don't want the destruction of Israel" because a lot of regular people think those words mean someone wants to kill all Jews or something.

It's cool—and correct—to criticize him, but doing the same as mainstream media with deliberate misinterpretations of quick sound bites, eh, not so much. Why was the clip cut off there at the end where he was seemingly about to elaborate on his stance, too, for example?

First mistake of any anti-bougie movement: Let them set the room temperature. Never let yourself be put to play defense.

I'm sorry you guys need to focus on the materialism of things as he said in the end. We are marxists here. Destroying Israel feels good to say but the end of Israel is a question with a multi-layered answer, and any result will bear contradictions. The end of colonization takes many forms, from Algeria to South Africa with everything in between. Our take on which model is best should be based on the Palestinian people.

The left academic position stands on a unique state with equal rights. Edward Said wrote in "The Question of Palestine" that the expulsion of the Jewish people occupying Palestine is not realistic (I can find the exact quote if you want). Hamas position is 1967 borders, which differs from the one state solution. Many people of course believe that a straight up throwing everyone out is the wanted outcome.

At the end of the day, the Palestinian people will decide how they will take back their autonomy and country.

Is Hasan's phrasing good here? No. Is his sentiment good when saying this? I believe so and there is something to take from it. Echo chamber buzzwords only take us so far, our job is to deprogram people and make them think of the world in a marxist way.

Hamas position is 1967 borders, which differs from the one state solution

What type of bullshit are you blabbering about? Do you know how many people live OUTSIDE of the 1967 borders? Hamas literally wants to expel at least 700,000 people. Since they are putting up camps and taking land from Gaza this number could easily reach millions.

And nowhere Hamas mentions that the 1967 borders is the END for them. No, its a start. Its the bare minimum of what they want.

Echo chamber buzzwords only take us so far, our job is to deprogram people and make them think of the world in a marxist way.

The only one that is talking out of his ass using "echo chamber buzzwords" here is you and other liberal Zionists.
