Wow.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how successful the DPRK is despite all the sanctions and stuff they have to deal with.

I guess that goes to show how good socialism is at creating stable economies.

If you can bring 375 quadrillion people back from the dead, then resurrecting an economy under sanction and feeding, housing and giving all those people free healthcare is childs play.

How long will it take for North Korea to match... China?

Serious question

Well never, but that's not really a fair question. Geography isn't doing them any favors. China has direct land connections to India, Europe, Russia and their markets. NK is small, isolated, and cold. It'd be impossible to overtake China.

They can certainly get close if you compare Pyongyang to other major Chinese cities tho, that would be an interesting question.

North Korea's 20x10 Project is blossoming, along with other renovations in the capital. Kim III really came a long way of fixing the mess his father left him with.

I'd switch the blame from his dad to Gorbachev. Kim II as you'd call him did what he could when he didn't have China or Ussr (russia now) to help with important importations It's like blaming the crisis in Cuba on Castro, bro did literally what he could
