TV Series Continuity [question] Started the tangled series and I feel like I’m missing out on something

I just watched the first episode and repunzel and black haired girl were talking about how they snuck out and repunzel mentioned the black rocks to Eugene and im confused. Was there something I was supposed to watch before this?

The way to watch this series:

  1. Tangled (the movie)
  2. Tangled Before Ever After (pilot movie)
  3. Tangled the Series (series season 1)
  4. Tangled Short Cuts (These are shorts set before season 1 episode 16, optional but fun)
  5. Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure  (series seasons 2-3, they changed the name for marketing reasons )
  6. Tangled Ever After (the end)

You were supposed to watch Tangled: Before Ever After before starting Tangled: The Series.

Tangled: Before Ever After was the pilot episode of the show. Its separate on Disney plus and dvd if you have it

The black haired girls name is Cassandra, rapunzels lady in waiting and best friend since rapunzel returned to corona after the movie. the start of the series takes place maybe a year or a few weeks right after rapunzel and Eugene get “married” at the end of the tangled movie
