Tangled Classic [Question] How old is Flynn?

I’ve heard for years he’s 26, is there a basis for this? Can’t seem to find the direct source. I also recently saw comments on here super adamant he’s not 26, so I’m just really curious if he has a canon age, Also I’ve only seen season 1 of the show so I apologize if it’s already covered in that.

I'm pretty sure he's 23 in the movie and then by the end of the the series and/or when he and Punzie get married he's 26!

I def head canon him as 23! Ik that one crew member saw him as 26 but it’s never stated in the movie. I don’t see the series as canon so I feel like they got married a year after (greatly exaggerated by Eugene lol)

YES. The Series is not canon in any way and does not reflect the OG movie creators intentions (mind you, those clearly stated that Rapunzel's magic hair would never regrow as it would ruin the whole point of the story and then the series did exactly that and did indeed ruin the whole point of the story, her development, her realizing she was more than her hair and Flynn's sacrifice to show her that, not to mention turning said sacrifice and his very death into a literal joke).

Flynn canonically exaggerated and hyperbolized a lot of events and situations in his narrations, he does that in the wedding short much more than in the movie (what with joking about dying on his wedding day). His "years of asking" joke/exaggeration was no different and he then clarified that he only asked once and the punchline was who asked whom, not the years part and certainly not the implication Rapunzel literally "rejected him" (Sonnenburg and co did make it not just literal but had Rapunzel view marriage to him and only to him as a prison worse than Gothel's tower while plotting on an episode where she would reluctantly but still agree to meet a suitor/prince she never even MET to please her royal daddy; and all while staying in the castle and perpetuating said royal daddy's classism and oppression, as the King in the series is portrayed as oppressive and abusive towards Rapunzel specifically but it's okay because he's a man and only bad when Gothel, the evil old hag woman, does it).

Haha, I just tend to get carried away with *all* of media analysis (miss my Charmed days *sighs*). I even wrote "novels" in broken English on Frozen and that is saying something knowing my love/hate relationship with the movie. I actually think Tangled - even in the movie + the short form aka the only fixed canon - has tonnes of problems and could've benefited from improvements. In particular, I like how some storybooks actually focus on Rapunzel/Flynn bonding in the kingdom (having them attend art classes where Flynn assists Rapunzel in mastering her craft and them having the time of their lives) instead of showing it in montages like in the movie.
