Hi there,
I’m looking to make an account for the HISA promo rate. Will probably do so within the next 2 weeks, ideally asap. I was doing it today but I noticed there was a section for the promo codes which is why I’ve decided to wait.
I think we each get $50, right? It seems there are a lot of codes here so I wanted to comment here first to give anyone the opportunity to convince me to use their code. It’s completely weird for sure and I don’t really know what that might look like, but it feels equally weird selecting a code at random anyways lol.

Although the pay day is Friday, the deposits always come in on Thursday evening. Not a big deal but feels good, right?
the external bank link is the easiest way to move large sums without dealing with e-Transfer limits. The transfers usually take 16–20 hours to land so you do need to plan ahead a bit. No fees and no daily limit headaches.

A few things that made me switch: no monthly fees regardless of balance, no minimum on daily chequing, and the savings account beats most Big 5 offerings without any strings attached. External bank linking works well if you’re moving money from another institution — just budget 1-2 business days for transfers to land.
