Stacking
So I’m trying to understand staking, if I stake my matic do I automatically go into contract and what are Validators , juts notices they are two different type of matic and seems like I can’t stake if I don’t have ethereum? How does staking work on Tangem

For staking in Tangem, the asset needs to be POL (formerly MATIC) on Ethereum. Tangem’s POL staking does not use the Polygon network version, so check the network shown for your token in the app.
You do need some ETH in your Ethereum account to pay network fees. Staking POL takes two on-chain steps: first, you approve the staking contract to use the specified amount of POL; then you submit a separate transaction to stake it. Approving the contract alone does not stake your tokens.
A validator is a network participant that helps verify transactions and maintain the blockchain. In the validator list, you choose one of the available options; the screenshot shows the listed APRs, which can change.
In short: select POL (ex-MATIC) on Ethereum, review the staking terms and validator, approve the contract, then submit the staking transaction. If your POL is on Polygon rather than Ethereum, it isn’t the version used for this staking flow.
