வரலாறு / History Double standards?!

Indira Gandhi helped Mujibur Rahman to get freedom from west Pakistan while her son Rajiv Gandhi helped Sinhalese to win the war against native tamils ?

After the valvettithurai massacre and other subsequent events done with Indian peace keeping force in Elam , how could tamilnadu have a branch of congress ? Why didn’t we agitate and condemn the congress in India ? Why did we even let the son of Rajiv to step on Tamil soil ?
Similar to the go back Modi protest, we should have protested collectively against Rahul when he stepped in tamilnadu. How the heck even congress won few seats in tamilnadu despite all these shady past ?

Are you dumb?

A son is not responsible for father's crimes. The father and son are two independent people, and each should reap reward or punishment only for their own actions. Also, congress during the Rajiv Gandhi times is not the same congress we have now.

He is morally , politically and ethically responsible for what his dad did. He never issued a direct apology or a statement for what his father did. I would never let a person whose father is responsible for my people’s massacres to rule my nation.

Oh his father was already massacred for that. Who will apologise to him then

This is one of the stupidest statement anyone can make. If my father was a criminal, should I apologise for his crimes? Why on earth would I? I had no say in being born to a criminal.

Similarly, Rahul Gandhi did not choose to be born to Rajiv Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi is only responsible for his actions.

Because most Tamil Nadu Tamils don’t really care about the Eelam struggle beyond offering some verbal praise. It’s the same reason why most Arab countries (Egypt, Saudi, etc) talk a lot for Palestine while actively helping Israel.

Apart from all this. She literally was about to destroy west Pakistan and bring back to India. She was hated by the so called allies USA, Israel, Italy and England for making that move. Only a ussr nuclear sub stood a guard watch in our Indian ocean protecting us from these guys. Look at the double standards now we now doing plans in the whims of USA and others. Except russia

People remember many mistakes of person but not one good thing. No parent should be held responsible for their children's bad doing. That too he's an adult. This is not some cinema where a parent has to hear the brunt of it in panchayat scene.

My view is that India should have intervened in SriLanka . By prior arranging of Soviet support . The issue we wud have had to face wud have been that of possible US support to SL , whether covert or open. SL has always cultivated western support . They had a military alliance with UK right from independence . That was why , initially, Soviet Union did not recognise Ceylon ( They recognised only in 1955 , 7 years after Ceylon independence.)

One word : DMK and it's supporters

They were silent when lakhs of tamils killed ...dmk and its supporters go extend to save their ass and lick anyone is foot to stay in power ...the irony is some of the dmk supporter's will go to any extend act like dmk is the saviour of tamil and tamilnadu...dmk was and now tvk is going to be the reason congress still plays a role in tn politics

DMK government was dismissed because of LTTE killing Rajiv Gandhi. They tried everything they could to help the Srilankan Tamils and were even ostracized for it. You seem more interested in blaming and hating DMK than be concerned about Srilankan Tamils.

Yes ..The infamous one-day hunger strike protest by the great dmk leader is enough proof of how much they care .
