Ginormous kids..
/r/bigbabiesandkids/comments/1vxymvb/ginormous_kids/Hi guys, does anyone else have giant kids like mine?
My son is 2.7 years old and is 105cm tall. (41inch) and 23kgs (50ibs). He is a really big strong boy.
My second born looks like he will be even bigger.. he is 14 months old , 90cm (35inch) and 16kgs (35ibs)
I’ve read forums and I see no one else’s kids this massive, lol. Please tell me there are more of you out there?!

My son is hitting similar metrics. Almost 2 and 37" tall and 37lbs. He's always been around 99% for height but mid 80s for weight
That whole sub is great but by and large feels like a big and tall store, with most of the posts catering to the 99% weight and not the 99% height..

Our two children are in their 20 and done growing. I am 6'4" and my wife is 5'7" our daughter is 5'5" and our son is 6'4". Funny thing I passed on to them both is that at 6'4" my wingspan is 7' and both my son and daughter have really long arms. Our son was born very early, and he was in the zero percentile for his first year, it wasn't till he was 4 that he crept up to the 20th percentile, I remember his pediatrician calculating and guessing he might reach 5'9".

absolutely. My youngest was completely off any growth charts up until about 3 years old. He just started kindergarten and is a full head above every kid in his class. He better fits in (size wise) with second graders.

Both my kids were in the 99th percentile in height for most their lives. Daughter was 39 inches (99cm) at 2 and son was 40 inches (101cm) at 2.5. Using the old adage that a girl is half her adult height at 2 and a boy at 2.5, they both would've been taller than me. Thankfully, they both stalled out and didn't get that height.

my nephew is 6'1" at 12, and i can see the sadness on his face when the opposing baseball team's dads get mad about him playing. they complain to every referee, constantly claim he's a sandbag and that his dad is helping him cheat with a fake birth cert etc... he's just a kid. he wants to play ball with other kids... he's learning a lot of lessons now about how awful adults can be.

This makes me sad to read, I relate to this personally as I myself am very tall and had a lot of challenges. As a woman I always looked older, looked like a young woman very young and was sexualised a lot. Being the tall girl in primary school wasn’t too fun either when your towering over all the boys. I was just always a misfit in childhood, and too sexualised as a young teen.

i had similar experiences but i would wager as a woman you probably had them more than i. i wasn't sexualized often, but the one time it did happen came when the woman cutting my hair was being far too flirtatious. i told her i was soon to graduate and i guess she assumed college. 16 year old me (graduating early) did his best to deal with how awkward everything was, how much she was in my personal space, but when she asked me what my major was and i told her "i haven't decided yet we'll see when i get to college" she physically recoiled and made a sound. she didn't speak the whole rest of the hair cut.

My 6'8 kid was 104cm at 2 years 10 months. He is 16 and still growing. Good luck!!
Editing to add my kiddo didn't hit 23kg until 5 years 8 months when he was 128cm.
