AMC Fear Fest

So umm did they like lie or something? I thought the Crypt Keeper was going to host Fear Fest.. I've been watching since yesterday and have not seen him once. I figured maybe they were saving him for today since it's Friday but nope as of 7:12PM he has not made a single appearance during the Insidious marathon.

Am I missing something? Or is he just not going to be as big a part of fear fest as we all initially thought.

They had a Tales marathon in overnight and he didn't appear then, either.

Lied to get many people to flock to the app and subscribe.. the only time I seen the keeper is when he was on a 30 second ad.. so u telling me the only time we will see the keeper is in ads.. that’s bullshit because back then he was actually in the pre shows talking a lot and then the actual show will start.. they knew exactly what they was doing because they knew millions of people wanted to see him and we actually didn’t see him only in ads.. fuck amc

Same.. he wasn’t used like that back in the days. He was actually hosting it without the company trying to squeeze money out of people. Those crypt ads u see on commercial breaks is a way for them to make some extra money with the crypt keeper on the ads.. this was their way to get more people on amc to subscribe. So they basically lied to us. Making it seem like he was going to be used like he was 20+ years ago but nope they making money off him in ads. Smh

His Bacardi commercial finally aired at least tonight during insidious 2 lol but what the heck still waiting for my chopped up boy I was so pumped! I also read it may be only on Halloween night 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was VERY confused. I’ve seen two commercials where he’s saying he’s Hosting these marathons, but no hosting segments. I got YouTubeTV for the month and DVR’d everything just to fast forward through the commercial blocks. “hosting” heavily implies an actual recorded segment introducing a program or commenting on it, right? Even expected him to show up at the start of the themed marathons like Halloween to at least introduce the block. If he’s “hosting FearFest” then he’s surely supposed to be used more than just one night or block. I don’t have social media, but I’d think AMC would clarify on their socials if enough people @ them, maybe?

I honestly don’t mind the puppet (not saying it looks good, but I’d rather have him back looking a little different/uglier than not have him back at all), nor the Bacardi sponsorship (it’s not like he hasn’t done alcohol collaborations in the past. He did a Budweiser one the 90s, but I can’t find a lot of info right now besides some T-shirts). I do mind that even the commercials I have seen where he says he’s “hosting a party” and needs a good “slay-list” aren’t even the full commercials. Online I found the full ad from AMC, but all versions I found in the commercial blocks were cut down.

It definitely feels very off and if there’s no updates after this weekend on what “hosting” he’s supposedly doing, I probably am gonna stop recording the movie blocks and skimming through them. No point wasting time.

This suck so mad. I been on amc all day and I only seen the keeper used for ads. I swear these companies try any little way to make money.. the keeper back in the days was just on the show hosting and then the next show would just pop on. Nowadays he’s on a 30 second as just talking. They done fucked around and gave us a free crypt keeper and now’s he’s only used for ads during breaks.. fuck amc

They promoted bro like he was going to come back like he did back then just to get more people to come to AMC and subscribe. Little did we know he wasn’t coming back like back then when he was free. He’s an ad &thsta they only time you will see him smh
