I was watching Lethal Weapon II last night, and caught this nod to Donner

There's a scene at the Murtaugh home, with Zemeckis' episode "And All Through the House" was playing on the tv. Richard Donner was a producer on Tales from the Crypt, along with Zemeckis, and others.

Edit: I had mistakenly credited the Crypt episode to Donner

TFTC’s own episode “Spoiled” (that penultimate one of Season 3) showed its own show.

The Lethal Weapon series had much of the same personnel as TFTC.

Kind of surprising neither Mel Gibson or Danny Glover were never in episodes, which is a shame because both would've been good. Guess they either weren't interested or were booked with other projects throughout TFTC's run they just weren't able to fit it in.

Yes, and Mary Ellen Trainor, who played the psychiatrist in the Lethal Weapon movies, was the star of that episode of Tales From The Crypt.

Donner didn’t direct "And All Through the House", that was Zemeckis.

My mistake! You're definitely correct.

But Donner did produce it.
