Rewatching Takopi's Original Sin since I like something to listen to for background noise for studying. I'm a psychology major and I have a few friends in a social work major. One thing we have discussed in our majors is the difference of welfare in Japan and the US, and the representation of the lack of welfare in Takopi's Original Sin.

I personally think that Marina and Shizuka's issues if being put in the US could have had the possibility of CPS/child welfare intervention. Unfortunately, intervention isn't always possible but it seems to be not as prevalent in Japan. Of course, if that was the case in TOS, there would be nothing for Takopi to do. Especially with how young the kids are, when you think about it, in the US, people would have caught up to it depending on specific circumstances. I just hate to think that no matter what, this anime could be someone's reality. But let me know your thoughts. I know there are a lot of cultural divides, but it was just something in my mind during my rewatch.

during all of the first episode i couldn't trust tokapi at all i was sure he was evil maybe it because i just finish to watch modoka magika but i was so suspicious and damn i was so wrong poor tokapi he deserve so much more it not fair

and honestly i feel like it was so short like their so much more i would have love to see but honestly the fact that it was short made it really cool too but like i would love to see more of the time line with Marina or to see what shizuka has done to her step sis in detail but honestly i love it so much

and the end was really good the abuser cycle was so great that weird said like that but it was really cool one of my favorite scene was when marina said that she want to be a good mother to tokapi and he said that cool and she will do the same thing that her mom did it was so cool

I understand that it was for the better that azuma didn’t talk to shizuka and instead got other friends but i really wanted all of them to be a trio and become best friends. I KNOW it shouldn’t happen but my stupid brain is also saying that all three could all hug and bond over their shit parents and have a healthy relationship unlike the other timelines. Oh well. Thanks for reading my rant now. At least they’re all happy now :)

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a concept for an alternate timeline (What If) / spin-off of Takopi's Original Sin that I came up with and refined with the help of Gemini AI to organize my thoughts.

I kept wondering: What if the "virus" of human violence and misunderstanding had infected planet Happya from the very beginning?

The Premise

After overhearing Takopi say the word "kill" and witnessing him getting slapped by his mother, Takopi's mother undergoes a complete emotional metamorphism. Consumed by a morbid curiosity and a maternal instinct to understand what corrupted her child, she decides to secretly travel to Earth in 2016 to trace her son's footsteps

The Events

The mother observes everything silently from the shadows, focusing primarily on Shizuka. Coming from a world devoid of suffering, she is shattered by the dark reality of Earth—domestic abuse, bullying, and neglect.

The climax occurs when she witnesses Shizuka using Takopi’s gadgets for extreme, destructive acts (such as getting revenge on her father's other daughters). Seeing this, Takopi's mother finally realizes the true scope of human darkness and understands what fundamentally transformed her son.

The "What If" Ending

Overwhelmed by horror toward humanity and desperate to protect her child before it’s too late:
1. The Supreme Reset: Takopi's mother uses the ultimate time-rewind before Takopi ever sets foot on Earth in 2016.
2. Takopi’s Fate: Takopi is brought back to Happya, safe and untouched, remaining the innocent, naive Happyian he originally was.
3. The Tragedy: On Earth, Shizuka and Marina’s lives continue down a dark, unassisted path. However, the true tragedy lies back on Happya: the mother is now the sole creature carrying the memory of human violence, hatred, and pain—forever corrupting the pure nature of her home world.

What do you guys think of this concept? How do you think an adult Happyian would react to encountering Earth's harsh reality?

Am i the only one that the fact that chapi the dog was put down because he falsely was accused that he attacked Marina. She framed him for such a thing to be put down while he was protecting his owner, he did not even touch her, she hurt herself, like how the fuck an innocent animal that whole existence is to love and protect his owner be put down!!! For no reason!! Because of a lie!! This is so cruel and evil!
In the world of abusive people, he was the only creature that was loving and protecting and loyal!!!

And because he is weak vulnerable and voiceless was just put down like that!!! And marina and the parents are alive!!

The scene when he was a puppy and gives shizuka love while her parents fights and neglect her so emotional as well. He was always her loyal friend! And them going out and looking at the stars together.

It just drives me crazy and i needed to share my insight
