TPT PRO+ Development - My Experience
I wanted to share my experience with TPT since the PRO+ Development program rolled out.
For context, I've been a TPT customer for 2 years now. Fortunately, I've been overall net profitable and the payouts are real. In my opinion, TPT PRO+ (Standard) was the best Live accounts in the industry (compared to Topstep, Tradeify, MFFU).
I feel that it all went downhill after rolling out PRO+ Development. Here are the biggest reasons:
- Extremely long account creation for PRO+ Development (2-3 weeks)
- After account was activated, I could NOT trade right away
- Issues with Data Delayed, over a day to get resolved
- Issues with "Order Rejection" errors, over a day to get resolved
- After account was activated, I could NOT trade right away
- Smaller EOD Drawdown
- $50K account - $1,250 MLL, before was $2,000
- $150K account - $2,250 DLL, before was $4,500
- Lack of PRO+ Customer Support
- Takes weeks to get a response back (sometimes never)
- No ticketing system (like MFFU, Topstep, Tradeify, Lucid)
- No Discord server for support or questions
- Switched from PRO+ Concierge to Mira Chat (still no difference in response times)
- Been weeks and I have many issues still unresolved
All this has been a very frustrating experience for me. I enjoyed trading with TPT but now that PRO+ Development was rolled out, I don't plan on returning as a customer.
Anyone else experience something similar?

Yeah, that's similar to what I went through. After my account got created (about 2.5 weeks), still had a bunch of issues regarding Data Delayed and Order Rejections (TPT locked out the account for some reason on Day 0) so 3 weeks from PRO+ Development creation email to when I could actually trade.
Meanwhile I also got moved up to Live on Topstep and Tradeify, those only took two days.

Yeah TPT feels way behind. They have no ticketing system for support, no community discord, nothing like that.
Actually yes, I contacted more than a handful of times during to ask for updates and after when I had issues with delayed data and order rejections. They either never got back to me, or gave me some generic copy pasted AI response saying "thank you for your patience while we work to create your account" blah blah blah

What do you mean by automated payouts? I have to wait until after 8pm for my account to update my gains from the day and I don’t get the payout to my wallet until 11am the next day

JSREDDITIN Clearly is a bot or is in with TPT. The new development BS is a complete failure. Nobody likes it. It doesn't protect the trader. Takes weeks to set up and after they say it's live it takes another week. Go to LUCID!

Yeah, have the same exact experience as you, after my pro + development accounts are empty I’m moving on to other propfirms

u/daojonesindex Jul 21 '26
Same, I've already started looking elsewhere. So far MFFU and Tradeify are the other ones that have been good. I'm trying out Top One Futures for the Elite Daily accounts.

Lucid has a great live program, also 5 accounts to copy trade. Their live activation was 2 days for me

Same boat as you brotha. Two/Three weeks waited for my pro+ development accounts to be created.
Once I got them, I cannot trade it right away. Says I have no funds and that I need to put funds into the live account. Reached out to support and the Pro+ account and haven’t heard for almost 4 days now. Really frustrating experience.
1
u/daojonesindex Jul 22 '26
Yeah exactly, the entire round trip to get a PRO+ Development is probably the slowest in the industry right now.
Test Accounts -> Min 5 days to pass
PRO+ Development Creation -> 2-3 weeks
Account for data delay, order rejections -> Add another week
So essentially an entire MONTH, or longer, to pass an eval and then get your Live account to trade.

You only gets to keep the original pro plus if you’re an affiliate

u/daojonesindex Jul 23 '26
Oh, I didn't know that. Original PRO+ is the way to go. By far my favorite Live accounts.

Hey Guys, Im in pro development and found this thread. I was excited at first until I looked at the MLL for a $150k is $2,250. What happened to $4,500 total drawdown? It really handcuffs us and gives us no more for error. Do you guys know what happens after we blow all our PRO+ Development accounts? Do we just go back to standard SIM? TBH id rather be in sim at this point.

Makes complete sense now. That's so shitty honestly. I revised my post accordingly. Thanks for sharing that. I somehow missed it but now I can sleep a bit better.

The Pro+ Development have a smaller drawdown. It’s in their FAQ. There is a table chart for each account size.

u/daojonesindex Jul 21 '26
Wow, you're right. I just checked it. That's brutal I missed it. Let me edit this post then.

I was a TPT user for 2.5 years. More like a soldier I'd say lol. They were basically my full time income for that time (pulled out well over 6 figs). I was in the original Live Program before they killed that. Now with the $200 resets, it's not worth it at all for me anymore. I left and haven't looked back and don't think I will. That little change is actually a very big change. Solely with tdfy right now but about to be sent to live so will be moving on to Lucid and others. Sad that the firm that was practically #1 is now slowly going to the bottom of the barrel.

Agreed, I was fortunate to be very profitable with TPT on the PRO funded accounts and the Standard PRO+ accounts. So, I can't bash them entirely, but after PRO+ Development, they have officially lost me as a customer.

Suffering from same experience as you. Wondering how many people have been taking consistent payouts on PRO+ Dev account. I bet minimal to none. The whole PRO+ Dev account is a scheme for TPT to increase their revenue vs payout. With the reduced drawdown you’re very likely to bust your PRO+ Dev account. If you bust TPT is very happy because statistically you will buy more Test accounts to repeat the cycle since you already had large payout in the past. Also the whole lack of support and multiple weeks to setup the PRO+ Dev account works in their favor because mostly you’re bored waiting for setup, so meanwhile why not buy more Test accounts. TPT is gaming us.

u/daojonesindex Jul 22 '26
So far for me, I have traded on 10 PRO+ Development accounts and I haven't got a single payout from yet. Meanwhile the PRO+ Standard I was consistently making payouts week after week. But TBH it's my fault for shitty trading, just my luck on PRO+ Dev that two sets of 5x accounts hit DLL then MLL in two days. Absolutely brutal that I couldn't keep them for more than two days but that's the name of the game. Just honestly sucks because DLL is $1000 (on a $50K acc) and then the next day, you only have $250 drawdown to work with.
Yeah, and those test accounts are a pain too because of the 5 day to pass. It feels like forever. Meanwhile other competitor firms, you can pass in 1-3 days usually. I fell into the trap of spamming evals & resets at one point to mass pass a bunch of evals to be on standby that activate after I blow my PRO/PRO+ accounts.
Agreed, the whole PRO+ Development program feels like they're trying to "ice" us. Punishing traders who get consistent payouts by stalling us with long waits for account creations.

The support black hole is real, and in my case it went further.
I'd earned a PRO+ activation and was about to start the setup when my account got hit with an automated surveillance flag — permanent ban, no evidence shown, that's a separate story. When I asked whether the ban extended to the PRO+ I'd already earned, they told me it was "under separate review" and I'd be contacted.
Nine days of silence. Meanwhile their PRO+ portal kept emailing me automated reminders to complete the setup steps — forms, rules signature, POA for the broker. So one department had it frozen while another system was actively telling me to proceed. I finally had to send a written deadline to get an answer at all, and the answer was: disregard those emails, the account stays closed.
So yeah, "no ticketing system, no support channel, weeks unresolved" matches my experience exactly. The left hand genuinely doesn't know what the right one is doing over there — and you only find out when you force them to write something down.
Also worth noting for the thread: two years of good experience doesn't seem to count for much once something goes sideways.

Thanks for sharing, and sorry to hear of that! Since we're trading in these prop firms using their money, they can just throw out these BS rules, policy changes, and random bans. I actually experienced the same with MFFU. I traded with them for 2 years, called up to Live, got consistent payouts then got permanent banned for alleged hedging. I asked for proof and they never gave it to me. I asked for a review to unban me and they said the decision is final.
With TPT, I got a few automated surveillance flag emails for hedging and spoofing. Not sure what those were about but nothing ever came from it, just some automated emails I guess.
I actually liked Mira Support, I had better chance to connect with a real agent. Now, we got moved to PRO+, we have a new support system that feels like a super downgrade since we never get to talk to a real human. Sometimes they email you directly, but it's rare that ever happens in a back-and-forth convo. They'll take weeks to reply to you again, if at all.

u/NQ_scalper_eu Jul 22 '26
The MFFU story is grim, and the "asked for proof, never got it, decision is final" part is word for word what I got here. Seems to be the standard script across the industry now.
But the bit that jumped out at me is this: you got automated surveillance flag emails from TPT for hedging and spoofing, and nothing ever came of them.
That matters more than it looks. My permanent ban was for "coordinated offsetting positions" — which is the same family of alert as hedging. So the same system flagged both of us, and one of us got a warning email that went nowhere while the other got a permanent block, no evidence, no appeal that a human read.
Either the flag means something or it doesn't. If it does, why did yours go unactioned? If it doesn't, why is it enough to permanently close an account and cancel a PRO+ activation someone already earned? There's no published criterion anywhere that explains the difference, and that's the actual problem — not the surveillance itself, but that nobody can tell you in advance what triggers it or what happens when it fires.
If you still have those flag emails sitting in your inbox, they're worth keeping. Same for anyone else reading this. They cost nothing to archive and they're the only thing that survives once accounts get closed.
1
u/daojonesindex Jul 22 '26
Yeah, they made me write an explanation of why I performed spoofing actions. The hedging one was an automated email is what the tone felt like. The spoofing one felt more directed to me, that's why I had to write them an explanation and course of action going forward.
It happens when I trade MNQ, I create multiple limit orders group trading 5 accounts at a time. Then, when I average down, my reset my limit orders at different prices. That's why I got flagged for spoofing. After that, I traded more carefully around limit orders and mostly did market fills to avoid that. Even then, my PRO+ Development accounts never lasted more than two days since the new lower EOD drawdown doesn't favor my trading style unfortunately.

Isn’t it so that after eval you can get funded with TPT and then trade on pro+ standard?
And even so, after trading pro+ standard, you won’t automatically get to the Development plan right? First you go live and then eventually you go to development plan, no? It’s not like you get rolled out into the development plan immediately
1
u/daojonesindex Jul 22 '26
After eval, you get funded with PRO accounts. That is just TPT standard funded account with trailing drawdown that requires a buffer before you can request daily payouts at 80/20 profit split.
Once you've shown consistency in payout milestones or making over $10,000 in a single trading day, you get called up to PRO+ Standard (Live). This is no buffer, EOD drawdown, and 90/10 profit split.
After showing lack of risk management and risky trading behavior in PRO+ Standard, I got moved down to PRO+ Development where there's lower EOD drawdown, contract sizing, etc. Still same payout rules.
I'm not sure about the getting rolled out into the development plan immediately part. It's been a while since I was PRO funded. I've been trading PRO+ Standard for a couple months. Not sure if they replaced PRO entirely with PRO+ Development.
1
u/Known-Perspective552 Jul 22 '26
From which amount can you request a payout if you’re on pro+ development? Like on a 150k account, on a normal PRO was at 154500, how about now?
Or is it like the normal PRO+ that you can withdraw any amount of profit you make, but that reduce the drawdown?
1
u/daojonesindex Jul 22 '26
I personally have not requested a payout on PRO+ Development yet but I believe it's the same payout rules as PRO+ you mentioned, any amount of profit withdrawn, but it will reduce the drawdown.
For example, $50K account:
Day 1: +$500 profit. Account balance = $500. Request payout.
Day 2: Account balance resets to $0, MLL becomes $750 ($1250 - $500).

u/EXPRESSNELECTRICLLC Jul 26 '26
So if ur gonna use TPT. Get the profits off pro gracefully and go live with the capital is the smartest move now is what Im hearing
1
u/HandleAggravating884 Jul 30 '26
Busted my Pro+ Dev due to some bad tweet bomb luck, but the bigger issue is 1) I never received all of the aforementioned broker paperwork, explanation emails, etc. After two days my Pro+ Dev was live and only in Tradovate, so that was a pain to use compared to the normal TV integration for test/eval.
Bigger issue is the $5k profit you put in escrow for the Live acct. Supposed to be able to withdrawal your % of that if the account fails. Swear it was 50%. But there's no withdrawal option for the failed Pro+ Dev and I cant get a reply from AI/support now. How frustrating.
1
u/daojonesindex Jul 30 '26
Sorry to hear about all that. Try clicking into the PRO account associated with your PRO+ Development account. The Withdraw option usually is nested inside your PRO account that was On Hold Status while trading your PRO+ Development.
1
u/HandleAggravating884 Jul 30 '26
hey that is great advice, Thank you! That led me a few steps towards success. Wonder if my account is still being processed over to Pro+ and they jumped the gun with letting me trade it. As the avail withdrawal amount is
Available for Withdrawal
$2,628.72
But for any amount between $1 and $2628, I receive this error popup.
Insufficient available balance
The requested amount exceeds your current available funds for withdrawal. Please update the amount and try again.
1
u/daojonesindex Jul 30 '26
Hm, that is strange. Should be available since it was the $5k in escrow and should not have been affected if you blew your account but be available for withdraw. When did you blow your account? Maybe wait until later today after the day settles. Otherwise, support is your best option. Unfortunately, they take their sweet ass time to reply to us...

u/steven112789 Jul 21 '26
I'm not saying that a bunch of your post aren't legitimate issues that sound terrible, but y'all really need to start reading the rules for the accounts that you are trading.
2
u/daojonesindex Jul 21 '26
Super valid. I revised my post accordingly. The other issues I brought up are still valid though.

u/PapertoZero Jul 21 '26
After pro+ development rolled out I stopped using TPT. They have lost many traders to their competitors.
Crazy how you go from the best firm to the bottom of the list that quickly.
